JB often refers to using hot sauce on his various foods. Just curious as to the BNers preferences.......how hot do you like your hot sauce? [smilie=lil_red_devil.gif]

Also, there is a recently started "Hot Sauce Forum" under Board Index>Just for Fun>Recipes & Boat Drinks. Tune in and give your comments, OK?

Most of the stuff at Peppers would probably kill me, but I do like things hot. Give me some hot wings and I am in heaven!

I'm curious, but keep it mild to start then work my way up as I figure out what I like. There so many different kinds of "hot" too. There's chili pepper hot, there's curry hot, etc. I like some adventure in my food, but I prefer not to cry when I eat anything [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

But what if your eyes water? Does that count as crying?

Hey, Peppers of Key West has a great variety of hot sauces. Honestly, many more tend to be mild-to-medium than s***-your-face-off!  :pirate:

I know what you mean, Ed. I like a bit of zing...but nothing that will burn my nose hairs on one small sniff.

Using hot sauce is a learning curve, just like any other food or drink. But if you're willing to experiment you'll soon find what "heat level" you prefer and, wow, it can transform the taste of so many of your favorite dishes! [smilie=coolup.gif]

Be sure to come over to the Hot Sauce forum and learn....... :pirate:

That's for a whole nuther poll.
And of course no BN poll would be complete without these:

I do love my hot sauce. Whenever I come across a booth or display with
samples, I have to check the hottest and most exotic. :pirate:

Mosquito Coast "Dead men tell no tales" Hot Sauce
Captain Rodney's Pirate Reserve Corazon Del Fuego Hot Sauce
Denny-O's Hot Hobo Sauce
There's also a guy in Lemoyne (Harry's House of Heat) that makes
a lot of different sauces and sells them at flea-markets and fairs. Pretty good stuff. :pirate:

Hey John...I had a jar of salsa from Harry's. Most brutally hot stuff I have ever eaten (and I have tried many extreme hot sauces). Good stuff, but I'm sure it melted off at least a couple taste buds.

I am an old fashioned girl; tabasco is my favorite. Love it on eggs and meatloaf.

Tabasco is my go to. I love its flavor. I'm not a connoisseur. I just go with what I like. I also have Cholula in my fridge, which is OK as well.

Tabasco is great for anything from shrimp and rice to cheese toast (my original childhood favorite) and even boiled spinach. Not sure about desserts yet. :D
