I feel lucky if I get to see him perform once a year. As long as I can afford to go see him, I'll be out there. I've never got to see him more than once in a year. Traveling is so expensive these days.

I treat each one as if it might be my last chance to see him live.

But I always hope for one more

I just saw him last Thursday at the San Jose show and walked out thinking exactly this. My first concert was 1982 actually before the parrotthead infusion. Since 1986 I have gone to almost every Bay Area show. Thinking back every show is really different with venues, crowds, and which friends we go with, but every concert I leave with a smile on my face and very happy that I went. One of these years I want to make a Las Vegas show, had tickets once but a family wedding conflict.

Tampa will be my 25th show, not bad since I only started going since 2008. However, it will be my buddy's 100th show :) he has been going since 1989, i think this means I have a better yearly average :)

Well my wife wanted to skip next years and do some traveling. She is an Alabama graduate and wants to go see them play once in every stadium in the SEC. I agreed to do that for her, then Missouri joined the conference.
I'm not going to waste a trip to missouri.
So I plan now to keep on keeping on since that idea went out the window.

Columbia Missouri is an awesome Town.... I spend 2 nights a month there on business. Great Downtown area... Tailgating at MU is pretty good also, they have a great time...

I love stumbling onto a good thread like this one. I'm also 58 and I had the same sentiments the OP had a couple of years ago. Then I went to "one last show" in Vegas and realized I still had the desire to share the music with my daughters. I've been to three shows since then and every one has been a blast.

I can no longer drink but the party is still fun and we have a DD now. My girls and their friends are total PH's and will be long after I'm gone. The only thing restricting me now is the cost of the whole concert experience. Not just tickets but since JB doesn't seem to hit Irvine anymore there is travel involved.

I'm just playing it by ear.

I'll keep going as long as there's a show within 200 miles. There are tiki bars to
set up, drinks to be served, and boobies to be seen. :pirate:
