I have edited and posted the show online. The download links are here:
http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69617

Some people have told me that some of the downloads generate errors, such as "file offline". All files are online. If one download hangs, skip to the next track and come back later to the one that failed. It could have been a server burp.

I had to do a fix to Rainy Day Women because of a high pitched "feeback" tone during the song. I just inserted part of RDW from another show and blended it into this show.

Christine, thanks. Today's geography lesson was fun figuring out where all those places were. Until today I had no idea they were all in New Jersey. And again, that is so cool you got that flipflop! :D

Nancy, thanks. Just trying to fill in the gaps when some of those good "others" had better things to do. 8) 8)

And Jimmy, thanks! Thanks for those 40 years that ya never thought would happen!!! We're still here!!!!
Dave,
Just wanted to add my 2 cents & say thanks, I had to come out of lurker hibernation for my 5th post. only have about 4000 to go!! still working on my avatar.

SunLover wrote:YOW!!! What happened during Rainy Day Women? I was checking part of my capture and that high pitched tone came outta nowhere! Not that I care too much about RDW, but it does mess up the show.

I had to generate a 3.1khz tone and apply that as a noise filter to that part of the song. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than before....

EDIT: Geh, forget the filtering. I just inserted part of RDW from the MSG show into the stream. Almost flawless...
You should have heard it from 7th row center, almost deafening!

I guess this is the right forum to post this. I got a hard copy of a partial set list. I asked a roadie for a pick, he didn't think it would make it throwing it from the stage, so he scavenged around the stage, wrapped the pick in a 2nd half set list, shoved it in a shark coozie, and tossed it to me! NOTE the last song on the printed set list was supposed to be Lovely Cruise, like MSG 2 nights before, but Jimmy actually closed with a tribute to Tim Russert - Defying Gravity, I shed a tear or two when they showed pics of Tim on the big screens. Here's a vid of my booty (not that kind of booty, more like a pirate's treasure booty, but I did see some nice booty at the show, and got some booty later...) anyway heres vid of the pick, list, coozie, and I'll post a vid of Defying Gravity later.

Thanks Roadie Dude! :pirate:

"A cup of coffee and a shaky hand..."

If nothing else, worth watching just to hear the cheer from the crowd and then see that pic up on the big screen - wow.

Thanx again!

Did anyone record the Philly show?

Post by FlipFlopinMD » June 17, 2008 2:57 pm

Hello All

I am looking to see if someone recorded the Philly show at Cititzens Bank Park last week. I was there and unable to record. If someone did please let me know. I brought some Buffett virgins and thought it would be a cool gift. Thanks
