Is this show with the full band? Or Jimmy & Mac? Or the Beach Band?

I thought it was just Mac, Jake and Jimmy, but apparently there's more...

Christine is saying now:

Makin' Music For Money
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (with Jake and Robert)
Last Mango In Paris
School Boy Heart
A Pirate Looks At Forty
Southern Cross
Fins
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

And raccoons brought wine and the mice they brought cheese...

...and he said this wasnt going to be a Parrothead setlist.....musta changed his mind!! So far, nothing that wouldnt be expected at "the big show" as Mr Buffett calls it.....

i thought at least he'd do Nautical Wheelers or Tin Cup Chalice or the other acoustic ballads he's been closing shows with....those are his 'folk' repertoire.....

figured it out....there are probably a lot of folks here who arent parrotheads, and he's trolling for new audience...new future ticket buyers....

Now I'm not sorry i didnt go up.....i had been regretting it, expecting a much different setlist....

Yeah, I thought it might be more like that Kinky benefit we saw in Austin in 2006. Seems like there might be more people there than I initially thought...

judging from the pics i've seen, its quite a large crowd...but that doesnt mean you cant do acoustic stuff...at a folk festival, for g*d sake!!

hear anything about Jake? or other band members?

This show I kind of agonized over not going. If I was a single guy still, I'd be there right now...But married life brings responsibilities, which is all worth it. :D

I was lucky enough in 1993 to have a friend who used to work for the company that put on the Jazz & folk festivals. She got us all access passes to the Newport Jazz Fest and we were lucky enough to be able to go backstage to watch Ray Charles close up. That was an amazing, amazing show.

I actually had to pitch in and work the security gate for a while. I was a 23 year old bumpkin from Buffalo, New York and was so blown away by the beauty of Newport and how many Rolls Royces and other super high end cars there were on that little island. I was a hayseed in a very cool place.

While I was working security backstage, Tito Puente came out of his dressing room and advised that he and his band was out of beer - so I was sent to town to buy a couple of cold cases of Budweiser for Tito Puente and his band.

What fun. :D What an amazing, amazing setting to see Jimmy. I lost touch with my friend from school who got us the passes in 1993 or I would certainly have been begging for the same type of passes this time around. :D

Wish we there tonight. Congrats to those from BN who made the show. :D
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.
