Well, now, I have to say... LSP did seem to have just as much fun dancing with the gay couple at the reception as with the straight people. (And OMG could those two DANCE! :D )

Hmmmm I wonder with Bertha, Cristobal, and Dolly as the named storms, if we're going to get "breaking news coverage" of the critterville resident hurricane expert taking off again.

How about having the Critters play a gig with an undesirable bodyguard (ala Helter Skelter and the Rolling Stones?)

We could make the ending humerous rather than tragic.....

I'm just sad :( (for us) that SurfPirate had too good a time at the concert last night, and there won't be any Critters today.
But I'm happy for him 8)

Hey, Mac, will you have any specific responsibilities to fulfill during your reign over the next 12 months, like Miss America does?

"Well, I don't have to wear a tiara or anything," McAnally says, laughing. "But I get to play music every day, and I'd still be playing music, anyway, even without the award. I guess I'll play harder next year."

"I'm honored," he says. "I was happy to be named in that pile of players. I'm a jack of a few trades, going back and forth between playing and record producing and other things. Most of the ones nominated for this award are full-time pickers. When I won, I didn't understand it. I thought it was a typo."

Continuing his collaboration with Buffett is a given, McAnally says, and he's become an honorary member of Strait's studio band, nicknamed the Critters. </em>

This just popped into my brain as I read about the lucky winner in the recent Landshark/Beachcomer contest:
Why not have Larry aka LIPH win a Landshark Lager contest??????? :o :pirate:

Would he accept the prize? Would he even permit himself to be photographed with a Landshark in his hand for promotional purposes?

I know he says that his favorite beer is free and cold (in that order), but a Landshark?????? :o :pirate:

I'd like to see the Critters show up at the New England Convention in a couple of weeks, as the Featured act. They could interact with all the BNers who are going to be there and b**** about the cold the way we do every morning in the MSC.
