Well, I do possess a PHarmact license... if the "powers that be" in Critterville
will accept one from PHlorida, I could be your local "drug dispenser". I would,
however require a prescription from a local MD... and I'm not sure we have
one yet. As "Desdamona, RPh` I'm sure I'd be quite popular. And my baked goods
would be as well.

I anticipate that it will always be "small town",

This is the place.

I'd like to nominate a song as our National Anthem....I wrote it with the help of our Poet Laureate, 'Bits.......so, here it is......

CRITTERVILLE

Drinking some cheap wine,
Enjoyin' the sunshine;
Baking those wannabe’s all covered in oil.
Listenin’ to Jimmy, on my front porch swing.
Smell those shrimp–
They're beginnin' to boil.

We’re livin’ the goodlife here in BN Critterville,
Living life the way it’s meant to be.
Some people claim that we’re wastin’ away,
But I know, we’re all livin’ our dreams.

Get greeted by BG,
Wine served by Penny,
Ravi and Jack make the alcohol flow.
Big Phan helps us learn more,
Citcat's in the bookstore,
And Auntie's in charge of the entire show.

We’re livin’ the goodlife here in BN Critterville,
Living life the way it’s meant to be.
Some people claim that we’re wastin’ away,
But I know, we’re all livin’ our dreams.

C-Dawg runs a Dive shop,
’Bits hits the mail stops,
Shannon tells us how hot it’s gonna be,
Surfpirate’s got a surf shop,
Snowparrot can bar hop,
Drinking Rum Jumbies with Captain P.

We’re livin’ the goodlife here in BN Critterville,
Living life the way it’s meant to be.
Some people claim that we’re wastin’ away,
But I know, we’re all livin’ our dreams.
Yeah, some people claim that we're all wastin' away,
But I know we're all livin' our dreams.

Nancy Gregory

Approximately five years ago, Nancy Gregory saw a little beaded necklace at an art fair. She bought the necklace – with a Scottish terrier and plaid pattern. “I started talking to the artist and found out that she was teaching classes in beading,” says Gregory, owner of Mango Dreams. At this point, she signed up for beading classes and started creating pieces primarily with needle, thread, and seed beads.

Today, Gregory works with all sizes of beads to make necklaces, earrings, bracelets, key chains, and badge and eyeglass holders. “I love beads! All beads! Little fussy ones, big chunky ones, glass, natural stone, intricate Bali silver beads….whatever. Beads just make me happy. I have a terrible time resisting a pretty bead even if I don’t have any plans for it,” says Nancy.

“I also work with yarn. Knitting is a very comforting thing to do in the winters in Michigan. I especially enjoy the natural yarns that you can felt,” she says. She creates purses, hats, and baskets that have been knitted from wool yarn and felted. The felting process subjects the wool to temperature extremes and, essentially, shrinks the piece into a sturdy, tight-knit wool fabric. She also knits fashion scarves and other accessories with the exciting new yarns.

As a “cat mom,” her love of cats led her to work with the Heart of Michigan Animal Rescue. Her volunteer work there includes producing their newsletter. Gregory is currently the president of the Midland Beading Guild, where she has also served as the vice president and program coordinator. Her work regularly appears at student exhibits at the Midland Center for the Arts’ Alden B. Dow Museum.

Please, Please, Please may I run the local taco cart. This is my dream job and I make the best Beach Taco's you've ever had. Chicken, fish, shrimp and carne asada with homemade mango and avocado salsa. And when bizness is slow I sit and strum my uke and sing jimmy songs.
