I sold 10 deck tickets to Rob at Volcano Express for the Alpine show. I sent him the tickets ahead of time and he said he would pay me at the show. (I am a trusting person, shame on me) When I found him at the show he told me he only had enough cash to pay for 4 tickets and he did not have his check book. He told me he would pay me via paypal when he got home. At that point I really didn't have any choice but to trust him. He told me several times during the show on our deck that he enjoyed the deck and was glad we got hooked up for him to buy these tickets. He also mentioned again that he would get me paid when he got home. A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing. I sent him a couple of emails and even left him a message on his work number. He finally got back to me via email and said he was waiting on some people to pay him and when he got paid he would pay me. I explained to him that was not our deal that I was not willing to wait for him to get paid. I had already had to pay for the tickets in the first place and I was not going to finance him. He emailed me back and said he understood my situation and he would pay me as soon as he could. That was 2 weeks ago now. I have not heard anything from him since and I have not received any money. I figured this guy was legit since he was so heavily involved in the Parrothead comnunity. I guess I was wrong. If anyone has any info on this guy, I would appreciate your help. Or if anyone knows him and can ask him to pay me, I would appreciate that as well.

Live and Learn I guess!

Phins up!

-Ryan

I had my attorney contact Rob and he is ignoring him as well. I would like to warn everyone, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ROB DYSON OR VOLCANO EXPRESS! He will screw you!

well...... I have not been around Buffettnews for a while because I have been very busy with my new candle business and other job as well... This thread was brought to my attention and I feel since many of you know me, I have to say this:

I have not dealt with Rob on a business aspect of things for a few years now. Years ago, the trip was great and I helped promote it... through the years a few issues have come up causing problems with unhappy people, me included....

This last year at Alpine, we took our own bus and had a BLAST!! Everyone had a great time!

Ryan, I am really sorry to hear you have to deal with this - I would suggest that you keep on this until you get your money....... i would offer to contact Rob, but I doubt I would have any more luck than you..... Keep us posted on this...

Thanks for your concern. I have continually tried to contact Rob with no luck. I had my attorney send him a certified letter that was returned unaccepted. I am usually very careful about this stuff, but I needed to sell these tickets and I took a chance and trusted him. This won't happen again. It is really unfortunate that you can't trust people as much as you used to. Especially Parrotheads. Although I don't really consider him a Parrothead after this! At this point I am not sure how much more I can do to get my money. If nothing happens before the concert next year, then I guess me and a few of my friends will collect at the tailgate. I have a feeling he won't like that much.
