...It was the worst of times. I scored the best line position through the lottery that I ever had for any show, fifth from the front. I wasn't really worried about seats, figured, I'd probably get around the soundboard, or maybe the front of the last section. When I asked for pavillion, the computer all but ground to a halt, until 45 seconds later (an eternity in this situation), the message came back "Item not found". The pavillion was sold out in 3-5 minutes. I could have still gotten lawn, but my wife and I are having our second child June 18th, so spending June 5th on the lawn would be a bit more uncomfortable than we were looking for. I figure I've got three choices now, 1)a kind soul, 2)the bastard scalpers, or 3)Radio Margartiaville. If I don't see you at Riverbend this year, I hope everyone has a fun and safe concert.

I was at the Cincy show but it was a bit iffy for a while. I was able to get 6 tickets when they went on sale but a while after that they were lost. I panicked and had to replace all the tickets thru ebay. But I have to say it was a hell of a night and well worth it. Next year nobody touches the tickets!

Hey morons above, how about buying lawn seats and trading them for pavilion. If you idiots want to see Jimmy, your going to have to think outside the box and figure out how to score tickets without actually paying premiums instead of just whining and complaining about the situation, because it's not going to get any better. I'm up front at Nissan for less than face value, it's not that difficult folks!

Try'in to reason with idiots during Buffett season!

I bought six lawns because that's all that was available. I didn't cry and whine like everyone else. I simply bought some 102 levels from a guy on ebay for $275 immediately after they went on sale and sold two of my lawns on ebay for $250. Do the math, the price of two lawns + $25 = less than face for one hundred level seats.

FYI - the other four lawns were traded for two other great pavilion seats in the fifth row of Sec.205, just slightly above face value.

Instead of whining and not buying lawns seats, I did a little thinking (I know, hard for some of you), bought six lawns and ended up with four great pavilion seats for darn close to the same price.

Let me guess, next the "diehard, purists" will say I shouldn't sell for over face value, oh well have fun listening to Radio Margaritaville because you stuck to your morals. Folks you had better "play the game" or get ready to pray your internet connection doesn't go down! I'll be sippin Coronos, wasting away once again in Margaritaville, Brisow, VA!!

Get out of your comfort zone and think outside the box!!

aholes, is that the best you could do? ouch!!

Let me see if I have this straight. You take it up the butt from somebody on eBay who charges you $275.00 for 2 tickets, then you do the same to somebody else. Last time I checked, scalping was still against the law. I guess this means that your idea of thinking outside the box is engaging in criminal activity. Highly original of you.

Let me guess you never speed in your car, or run a red light. Same damn difference and it's not illegal on ebay for the state of VA, check it out before you get accusitory. I think it's hardly criminal and if it is and I got away with it, oh well. Sounds like there's a little jealousy in your email. Let me guess you couldn't think of it so you call me a "criminal."
I'm hurt, really hurt!
Wha wha wha!!

Oh yeah, and paying and selling about $250-$275 is taking it up the butt huh? It's called market value and in case you haven't checked that's what they are all going for and much more for pavilion. I could get a minimum of $600 for my 102 Sec. seats if I wanted to.
keep cryin!

I'm not jealous, or crying. I've been to 5 Buffett concerts in the last 2 years. I'll be going to at least 2 more and maybe as many as 4 more later this year. I'll also see him when he's on the Today Show next month since I only have to walk across the street from my office to get there. I've never paid above face value for a ticket, including buying them in the parking lot before the show, and I never will. I've had extra tickets for concerts and never charged above face value when I sold them, and never will.
As for your comment about market value, I think market value is what's printed on the ticket. That's what the artist, the promoter and the venue think they're worth so it's good enough for me. If you're willing to pay way over face value, be my guest. And if you can find someone else dumb enough to do the same, more power to you.

Your calling a lot of your fellow parrotheads dumb then, because they are paying big bucks (and I agree with you).
I'm not here to argue, but these tickets are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. If the face value was much higher, fans would pay it. I'm just sick of lazy, unoriginal fans who whine about the ticket situation and then cry when they don't get tickets, and give up. What I did honestly didn't require much thought, just a bit of work, but it gives me great satifaction to know I have great seats and got them for less than cost!

LIPH-
Anyone who starts their posts insulting the people here by referring to them as "morons" and "idiots" REALLY doesn't deserve the effort it takes to argue. He (or she) will NEVER get it...

I took a look at the great F1NZUPP's profile. He likes golf, probably because it's the only way he can get "it" in the hole.
Deal with that, chump.

Oh, you're killin' me. Please try harder! If you feel you need to insult me for enjoyment, please go ahead, it doesn't really surprise me in the least. You are a New Yorker, correct?

Your first post from this morning started off by calling people "morons" and ended by calling them "idiots" so don't start playing the part of the hurt little child now when someone replies in kind. The New Yorker didn't start the insults, but if you care to engage me in some verbal jousting I'm more than up to the task. Unfortunately, it's sometimes difficult for me to have a battle of wits when my opponent enters the fray unarmed.

I was typing when you posted your last response. I guess the term "sarcasm" is lost on you if you don't see the humor in how I described myself in my profile. CS was right, some people just don't get it.
