Shut out again
I know for a fact that there is not a computer system in the world that can process 15,000 ticket orders in under a minute, but that was what just happened. I logged on the precise second that tickets went on sale today. Exactly when the "more info" changed to "buy tickets" and there was nothing left. Can someone please explain this to me? I don't want to hear about pre-sale codes or fan clubs, or anything like that. This is 15K in a minute! There is definitely something wrong here.

Re: Shut out again
tm has always been shady to say the least
we tried for va beach sat am
tm was OFFLINE until 10:12
that was 12 minutes that people were not able to get in
question is this: were people in line at tm locations and venue itself also locked out for those 12 minutes?

indecision may or may not be my problem

Re: Shut out again
I was in line a few years ago and the folks at the ticket office didn't turn on the lights until 9:55 and their computers until 10 AM! There nearly a riot in the line.mcm wrote:tm has always been shady to say the least

Re: Shut out again
We never got into the 6/18 GW ticket sales for lawn seats on Saturday so we feel your pain.
We checked all day Sunday and are still checking today -- so far nothing. There are a few uncovered seats still available but we aren't paying $157 for that when lawn tickets sell for $48.
Optomistically still waiting for 2 lawn tickets to get "thrown back in"

You should still plan on going...even if there are still no lawns the day of the show you could probably get the pavillion seats a lot less than $157.Saltx3 wrote:We never got into the 6/18 GW ticket sales for lawn seats on Saturday so we feel your pain.

Re: Shut out again
I was trying for Detroit and even a couple of minutes after 10, and the "find tickets" thingie came up, I kept getting "tickets not available yet" Then I got the usual message from when it is sold out. I went in three more times and it came up with great seats. I usually have luck the week before the show, but I hate not knowing until then that I have tickets.
Keep trying off and on...hopefully something will come up.

Re: Shut out again
We broke down and paid through the a** through Stub Hub. $89 each for a lawn ticket plus a $89 service charge since we ordered 10! p*** off today but will all be worth it on July 21! Just have to get there extra early for the tailgate to get more bang for my buck.

Re: Shut out again
I would check your refresh settings. I can tell you that for ticket sales here via Ticketmaster.com or any other ticketing system I have used online, I never have to sweat anymore about when it's going to come up. It ALWAYS loads right on time. The systems are automated and the times are programmed into the computer in advance. I load up time.gov or call the phone number for the time (which is going away soon) and within a couple of seconds of the posted on-sale time, the sale is up and running and with a little diligence, I have my tickets.
I don't think I'd be crazy to say if it's taking you even a minute beyond 10:00, it is probably your computer/browser. Firefox by default doesn't necessarily check to verify that a page has been updated, so it could take some time to show that it has changed. I had to make a manual configuration change in the registry to get that to happen on each refresh. Similarly, Internet Explorer doesn't necessarily refresh a page just because you hit refresh. Clicking the refresh button just refreshes. Holding down Ctrl and refreshing forces the browser to fully reload all of the data on a page. Might take slightly longer, but it almost ensures your browser will update appropriately.
If, you get it to come right up and Ticketmaster tells you that you have a 10 minute wait and don't refresh or you'll lose your place in line, and then you still don't get tickets, blame Ticketmaster for that one.

I don't do any of that crap and I get right through to TM every time. I can't remember the last time I didn't get tickets to a concert I wanted to go to. Any concert, not just Buffett.
