Very weird - did anyone else realize that the set list doesn't show in latest posts if you are not logged in? I thought I was losing my mind.
Love that WZ song - here is one from youtube with some cool Hawaiin album covers.

Thanks, Janice! I loved hearing that song again this morning and read the fabulous guitar sounds were coming from Dan Dugmore on pedal steel and Gurf Morlix. Dan sounds almost as good as Doyle.magnus & Mr Moon wrote:Very weird - did anyone else realize that the set list doesn't show in latest posts if you are not logged in? I thought I was losing my mind.

(You can hear Stephanie Chapman sing Steely Dan. What a nice tribute to Dan Dugmore.)

Re: 02/28/2009 - Waikiki Shell - Honolulu, HI
You get an A+++ for this one Jimmy!
Fruitcakes Honolulu Style 2009
Fruitcakes in the kitchen
Fruitcakes on the street
Struttin' naked down Kalakaua
Through the middle of Waikiki
Half baked surfers from the North Shore
Half baked sailors on the Pearl on my bus
There's a little bit of fruitcake here in everyone of us
Paradise - lost and found
Paradise - take a look around
Parrotheads have flown in
To be here for this big show
It's so good to be on Oahu
On the shores I don't know
We got surfers down on Diamond Head
They're dancing in the sea
While over in West Makaha
There's pakalolo for you and me
Fruitcakes here from Kona
Maui and Molokai
Some flew in from Australia
Have they ever seen us get high?
Half baked sailors from Tahiti
Half baked bone fisherman on my bus
There's a little bit of fruitcake left in everyone of us
Spoken: Let's throw a little science in!
Now over on Mauna Kea
They've got telescopes galore
A window to the universe
We all want to explore
We can watch the stars
But up on Mars
The pictures aren't too clear
They think they've discovered water
Hell, I hope they've discovered beer!
Fruitcakes in the galaxy
Fruitcakes here on Earth
Struttin' naked towards eternity
We've been this way since birth
Half baked humpbacks in Mauna Loa
Putting on quite a show
Talk about some big-ass fruitcakes
Look out friend, there she blows!
Spoken: Oh, lets throw a little religion in here - sinnin' on Saturday in Lent - I like that!
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa
Here's the church, who took the steeple
Religion's in the hands of some crazy ass people
Television preachers with bad hair and dimples
The God's honest truth is it ain't that simple
It's the Buddhist in you, it's the pagan in me
It's the Muslim in him, she's Catholic ain't she?
It's that born again look, it's the wasp and the Jew
Tell me please, Rastaman, I ain't got a clue!
Spoken: We gotta talk about relationships now - you won't hear this sh*t on Oprah Winfrey - get ready
She said, ya got to do your fair share
You've got to lend a hand
I bust my ass all day in spin class
While you're home mastering Rockband
Still, the whirring of the blenders
May give me a little hug
That's the difference between lightening
And a harmless lightening bug
Spoken: The future - it's here - watch out - here we go
Now nine years past the millenium
The future's coming soon
We should be living like the Jetsons
But we're being f*cked by oil tycoons
So I put on my brother IZ tapes
And practice what I preach
I'll get ja'll lost in the reggae
Go to Dillingham or down to Sunset Beach
Stay in touch with my insanity
There really is no other way
It's a jungle out there kiddies
Have a very fruitful day
Oh, fruitcakes from the mainland
Some here from frozen Canada too
Hey, lets don't forget Alaska
And the Jamaican dogsled crew
Half baked cookies in the oven
Half baked people on my bus
There's a little bit of fruitcake
Here in every one of us
Spoken:
I see all kinds of fruitcakes out there
We got fruitcake canal canoe paddlers
Big wave surfin' fruitcakes
Fruitcakes down at the Beachcomber!

"Duke's On Sunday" with Henry hit the rotation in the restaurant today. It starts with footage from the private show at the Beachcomber and then cuts to the Waikiki Shell a few weeks ago. It's killer and brings back memories of a fantastic week.
There's also a video from Nadirah's show in Vegas back in October. Balcony Girls and Tiki Bar are quite visible in that clip right up front!
