Buffetized Mañana lyrics 9/5/2009:

She said I can't go back to America soon
It's beautiful in Manassasas underneath that full moon
There's music and brew and a Labor Day breeze
And I just thank God it ain't 120 degrees!

Customs man tells her that she's gotta leave
But she's got a plan hidden up her shrewd sleeve
Find her a captain, a man of strong mind
And any direction he blows will be fine.

Please don't say mañana if you don't mean it
I have heard those words for so very long
Don't try to describe the Potomac if you've never seen it
Don't ever forget that you just may wind up in a thong.

I tried and I tried but I don't understand
Never seems to work out the way we had it planned
Hanging out down in Georgetown when Jim Zorm called
Said the Redskins are in camp, come around and throw the ball!

But women and water are in short supply
There's not enough dope for us all to get high
But I hear it gets better, that's what they say
I got friends here from the Outer Banks who just will save the day!

Spoken: Come on!

Please don't say mañana if you don't mean it
I have heard your lines for so very long
Don't try to describe eating steamed crabs if you've never seen it
Don't ever forget that you just may wind up in my song.

Spoken: Break out the Old Bay!

I called all my friends on those cheap nightly rates
It sure is good to talk to the old United States
Still, the bright lights of DC lie forty miles north
And it's Saturday night and this crowd's getting off!

Yes, up on that hill where you lawn people sit
Dancing and singing and smokin' good sh*t
And down in this front row they're partying away
I think you'll stay until Labor Day!

Please don't say mañana if you don't mean it, don't mean it
I have done those lines for so very long
Don't try to describe a Phish concert if you've never seen it
Don't ever forget that you just may wind up being gone
And I hope American Idol never ever uses one of my songs.

Spoken: So far so good. Adios Paula!

Don't mean it...
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

Ilo blew me away. His two songs Thursday and Saturday nights at Nissan were the best part of the show.

By far.

He is simply an incredible performer to hear live with a solid band backing him.
Hearing Ilo & Mac doing "Nuthin like a Sunny Day" as a duet Friday night was simply amazing. Wish they had broadcast that show from the State Theater, as it was every bit as good as Jimmy's show Saturday night

I agree!!! I loved Friday's show! We ended up buying Ilo's 5 song CD and we LOVE it. I must say, he is better live.

I'm looking forward to cousin Ilo's full length CD. When he was in the parking lot with Doyle, Jim and Nadirah at Jones Beach I asked when it would be out and he said probably November.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
