A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

That would have been appropriate for November . . .

Thanks to all for a fun night - Mitch and Farside for the setlist, conched for the "witty banter" and all the great friends for the company.

Back from the show and listening to the replay (thank you, Radio Margaritaville).
Some random thoughts, Phriends:
• Rained much of the day in T.O., as Jimmy noted, for the first time in many weeks. Could have been worse. We had a mega snow storm in mid-November last year. Count our blessings.
• My first indoor show ever (6 outdoor in Toronto and Boston); early concerns with sound distortion were quickly fixed.
• Some empty seats, as expected. Scalpers outside Union Station were talking about "cheap seats" an hour before showtime. A firefighter friend said a couple of hundred tix were given to brigades this week.
• I thought Jimmy was in fine form, dropping several interesting lines. Voice was strong. Light fall sked = solid shows? Maybe.
• I loved the set list. Agree with other PHans. I don't need Yellow Submarine, with so many great JB tunes to choose from.. And I was blown away that he didn't play Boat Drinks in the home of the Leafs. But, to hear Manana for the first time and other gems.... Thanks, Jimmy.
• A disagreement behind us, between people wanting to stand and those who didn't appreciate it... Sound familiar, Atlantic City? I didn't pay to see people old enough to be grandparents duke it out - but that could be a good reality show.
• Lots of folks dressed up for the occasion. Looking good. Loved the guy in the grass skirt and T-shirt waiting for the elevator in the Royal York Hotel - next to the couple in tux and evening gown. (May be a song in there, Jimmy?)
• Too many Canadian references to count. Wow, Halifax Tourism should be happy with Jimmy. Georgian Bay, Niagara Falls Margaritaville, NFLD, Montreal... Go ahead, apply for citizenship, Jimmy.
• And he PROMISED to return next summer. TWICE
Over and out.
Thanks.
