When I got my drivers license (in the fall of 1969), gas was $0.29/gal.
I could never remember the price per gallon. I just remember knowing I could do the week with a 1/2 tank. I was in college and my Dad bought me a new red Camaro as my graduation present and then said he wasn't going to buy the gas. :D
Plus we got a FREE glass at the Shamrock! Or were they a nickel a piece?? I can never remember anything anymore. :::sigh::::

Heyhey Jedi! Nice seeing you around! Hope oyu are fine!
Hanging in there. HOT, like everyone else! (Over 100 unheard of here, and no AC in most buildings. Ugh.)
How did you guys fare with the power outage that I heard about?
No power loss here, thank goodness! We have window units at the house and it's fine, but nothing at work and that's brutal. (Just portable units we keep on the patients. Very old clinic.)

But it's breaking now, I think.

Night before last, it was still over 95 at midnight. Tonight, it's a reasonable 85 now.

Yes it's been quite a summer. Rental cars and east bound planes...
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.

She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

Can I come over? I'd bring some of our cold with me, 64ish the last days. Wore a jacket today - in mid- July!
Please! And honestly, compared to the horror in Norway, I'll take a bit of heat.
