I understand, Jen.
That will probably be what keeps me from going to Hawaii this year if he ever announces a date.
That, and a few unexpected events around here in the past few months.

Still, you know how I look forward to seeing some of the folks.
I just feel badly that it hasn't happened much lately, that's all.

Wino you know wrote:GREAT concert (but he REALLY needs to dump that God-awful "Too Drunk To Karaoke" and "All Night Long."
LOVE "Tides" and "Something About A Boat."
Nice set list by Jackson Browne, great to see Jimmy preform "Take It Easy" with him.
It was nice to be able to hang out with Doyle and Charleston in the V.I.P. lounge.
Got to see Stephanie/Gumbo Gal and JoAnn/Tiki Bar too.

Only disappointment is the fact that once upon a time Alpine concerts would end up with quite the who's who list from B.N., but this year just a handful bothered to show up.
:-( :-( :-(
Missed seeing you Garry. I guess you were having way too much fun in the VIP lounge to hang out with the common folk     Tried to text you but AT&T was not up to the task.
So what does it take to get in the VIP area?

I got my VIP pass through the Cedar Island Band. (Our local P.H.C. band-we're from Cedar Rapids, hence, the name Cedar Island).
The band is given 30 passes among their five members to invite up whoever they want. It's been the case for the past five years when they played there.
I didn't actually go in until around 6 PM. (The band's start time-they wanted to be done by 7 to be able to hear Jackson Browne.
But I was in the lot until 6.
Gee, I missed you in Chicago AND Alpine.
Seems to be the case with EVERYONE. :-(
I did enjoy seeing JoAnn and Stephanie.
We need to get more folks there next year.

Don't feel bad. JoAnn & Stephanie were 4 or 5 cars from us in the parking lot and we didn't see them. Like I said in the other thread Captain P had the best tailgates. Everyone was in a large group.
