Any other J.B. at Great Woods fans feel like this?

Post by Johnny's Lounge »

Springtime in Mansfield? Who else feels lost because this is usually the summer grand finale? Yes, I've been to the shows since 1991 so I've seen the show at different times of year but I really locked into the Labor Day Weekend show at GW. It almost seems like how it would feel if you used up all of your work vacation time for the year by July 4! :-?

Be happy that at least he came and played there at all. He skipped the Pacific Northwest last year and it is starting to look like we will be passed by once again.
There are a lot of folks on this site that would just be happy to get a Buffett show in their area no matter what time of the year it happens to be

Heck...I'd go in the middle of January --- to an outside venue --- if he'd just play TEXAS again!!

You wouldn't be saying this if you lived in northern climes.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I'll take him whenever I can get him! But the shows were a great kick off to what is looking to be a great summer for me! It was a great way to celebrate college graduation for me. So I'm just happy he's still touring and I'm all for seeing him whenever I can. Labor Day weekend would be nice to have back though, but I'm not going to complain.

I agree with HG , anytime anywhere.

Also with Philly at the end of Aug. the week before Labor day.

Last year it was the week after Labor Day @ Fenway.

So he really hasn't done labor day the last couple of years in the Boston market

Well Columbia, SC went a long time without :( . Now we've had a show for the last 2 years :D

Atlanta, GA has always had a show :D . Now this year is looking like a no-go :( .

Nothing is for sure. Count your lucky stars if you have a show near you, and go to it. You never know, it may be the last.

Boy, I wish that was all I had to complain about.

BTW, 1 Detroit show in the last 5 years is what realy sucks.

it's the whole, "entitlement" thing.

Remember, Bawstuhn wasn't always Labour Day Weekend. I believe the lyric WAS, "Headin' up, to San Fran-cisss-co, for the Labour Day Weekend Show..."

...since it looks like no Lakewood at all this year. You all got 2 shows, in summer, and probably always will (as long as JB tours that is). While the rest of us have to hold our breath and hope.

Everyone that gets to see him near their hometown needs to QUIT WHINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason he skipped Atlanta for the summer.
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

I hear it was something to do with fallout from the BN New Year's party.

early summer, late summer, what's the difference? I got to see Jimmy again, that's all I really care about. 8) I'm sure any city that misses out this year will be on Jimmy Buffett's list next year. By the way, Great Woods (Tweeter) rocked on the 22nd.
