Hurricane benefit show?
Just wondering if Jimmy has considered doing a benefit show to help the victims of hurricane Katrina? It would only seem logical since he has such strong ties and family in the area.

And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
You're love's put me at the top of the world

And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I've found ever since you've been around
You're love's put me at the top of the world

Maybe this is a question better asked after the storm has run out of steam and we know just how bad the damage is. The Florida Hurricane Benefit show last year was at the end of November. Weren't the 4 storms that hit Florida in September? Give him time, he's still on the road doing his regularly scheduled tour dates.

But it can't be in Orlando. I don't need lightning striking twice. (and yes, this is humour, for those of you who know the story)Captain Joe wrote:I was lucky enough to go to the Florida Hurricane Benefit show last year. Great time... looking at damage and since Jimmy is from the Gulf Coast I fully expect him to repeat another benefit show this Fall.

I know... I heard the price you paid, and it was a very good contribution to the cause.LIPH wrote:I didn't pay anything close to $3000 for dinner with Heather either.RinglingRingling wrote:They got lunch and dinner with Heather tho too.LIPH wrote:Damn, I got 3rd row from the ticketmaster auction and didn't pay anything close to $3000.GEED181 wrote:I too, was at the hurricane benefit show in Orlando. This article shows that Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers raised more than $100,000.sonofabeach wrote:Does anyone happen to know how much $$$ Jimmy's hurricane benefit concert raised last year?
I can't seem to find it online.
