...on a stick

Post by buffettbride »

We went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday. It's always just a blast. We're always so impressed with the tasty stuff they can put on sticks. It's gone way beyond Meat on a Stick or Steak on a Stake.

We saw (and ate) real, live MacNCheese on a Stick!!! I was quite impressed. In no way is this healthy for you, but it's a blob of macNcheese shaped into a triangle, battered and deep fried, then placed on a stick with 3 of it's friends!!! OMG!!!! It was soooooooooooooo good.

So, what else have you eaten on a stick?

I was thinking this was a pregnanacy test thread and it was about pee on a stick. LOL
I love Ren Fairs. Because of the heat I won't go til early fall. There are a couple pirate weekends and I"ll likely pick one of those.

On his latest album, KD Moore has a wonderful song about Key Lime Pie on a stick.

Ohhhhhh.....I've had them at the PA renn faire.....I second that...SOOOO good.

I always go for that, the soup in a bread bowl, and the homemade root beer they have there.

And thanks for the call yesterday, Mal, you seriously brightened my day!!!!! :D :D

My sister in law was a missionary in Thailand and the kids favorite snack was "'Squid on a Stick" Now that sounds yummy ! Maybe we'll make some for the show tomorrow instead of cheeseburgers.

A friend of mine is always raving about the frozen, chocolate-covered Key Lime pie on a stick she gets in Key West.
Just one more reason for me to head to the Keys.
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,
In a world full of pushin' and shove.

The Key West idea sounds pretty good too! (btw...that was where KD got the idea for the song)

Tomorrow I'm all about veggies and lean protein. Just got a later start because we had eating festivities planned all weekend and didn't want to throw temptation in our faces so quickly after reform.

I'll look fabulous for Mexico, thank you very much.

AND I haven't had a cigarette in 5 weeks. :D
