I like the silliness of God don't own a car, but the poignancy of LIvingston's Gone to Texas wins it.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

In The Shelter
Sad and thought provoking. Like to hear it more than any of the other lesser known songs. Makes me think of N. O.

In the Shelter. To me it's the only 5 star song on a mostly 3 star album.
Some people never find it, some only pretend; but me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

Well said. He should have left it alone and not messed with a subpar reggae version

This one has 5 songs with no votes. That's the most on any poll I've looked at

I love Livinston's Gone To Texas .
Musically I like the Living & Dying in 3/4 Time version better but for some reason it leaves out one of my favorite Buffett lines ever:
"it's crazy and it's different but it's really bein' free
and reasons the world would want to question make sense to you and me"
I like to think that "Holly" is the girl from In The Shelter
"It's crazy and it's different, but it's really bein' free"
