I actually just got this CD only a few months ago, and while I love the CD as a whole, there is no singular track that stands out for me. I chose Fruitcakes because it was one of my favorite songs way back (about 5 years) and I love hearing it live and I love the video.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Lone Palm....because my daughter and I break in to song every time we walk past papayas or mangos in the produce department....
My garden is filled with papayas and mangos
My life is a mixture of reggaes and tangos

Six String Music just has that country feel to it. I can picture Jimmy sitting in that rocker on the porch in one of the promo photos. Or sitting out on the old pier on the bay somewhere playing for the fish.
it was hard to pick this one over Apocalypso. That is one of his best songs too. I loved when they did this on The Letterman show in 1994..we'll be dancing when we go.

This album came out in 1994 just as I got married, was finishing law school and me and the wife were getting ready to head out into life. It was also at about the height of my fanaticsm over Jimmy. When I heard Delaney Talks To Statutes I swore I would name my daughter that some day.
She turns 6 a week from Friday.
This and Floridays are his two most underrated albums. This one is solid from start to finish.
I have asked this trivia question before. When Jimmy start playing some of the songs during the 1993 tour the album had a different working title. Anyone remember what it was?

I chose Miami, butWino you know wrote:One of Jimmy's perfect albums where I like ALL of the songs.
John's Band-I heard it live once and it's fantastic.
It's probably one of my favorite covers by Jimmy.
Yes...Uncle John's Band is one of his better covers
