I built one out of a poster. The copy place wouldn't blow it up because of copy-write laws, so I want to the self serve machine and blew him up piece by piece and mounted him on thick postergumbo gal wrote:I want to find a lifesize cardboard cutout of Jimmy that I can bring along to shows and stand him in our tailgate party pictures that way I can finally get to have a beer and a picture with him!
board. Everyone stops at our tailgate for a pic with Jimmy.
(Just read back thru my post....I "blew him" and "mounted him" all in one sentence.....)

Have you heard "We're Still Here"? If that's an example of what we can expect if he writes new songs, we're better off without them.photogal wrote:SO...why doesnt anyone want to agree with me on "put out new songs"???
Give up the STUFF... and write some new songs already!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like a super-duper margarita maker, emblazoned with the Margaritaville logo. I'd be willing to spend upwards of $400 for it, too, since I'm sure that a drink out of a $400 blender tastes 10 times better than one out of my $40 blender.
Jimmy should think about marketing one. Come to think of it, I want one withe the Landshark logo on it, too. Maybe a set for $600.

"Key West trades in on the name 'Hemingway." You can't take a leak without seeing Hemingway this and Hemingway that. And the irony is, if Hemingway were alive today he'd take a blowtorch to Duvall Street." Hiaasen

Now THAT's funny. Maybe one disk of Chesney covers and another of Jack Johnson covers?Skibo wrote:A two disk CD of Kenny Chesney covers.

Awesome song! Mark Knopfler is absolutely incredible. Would love to see Jimmy do something other than Whoop De Do. I have the MK album that came off of, and it's easily one of the bottom 3 songs. Postcards from Paraguay strikes me as a Buffett-esque song.cajunpirate wrote:I'll buy any new cd with at least 1 new song on it. I just bought that Sonny Landreth album with Buffett on a song with him, but the best song, IMO, is the one with Mark Knopfler...Blue Tarp Blues.
Without deteriorating into the Jimmy bash-fest that so many of these threads turn into, I don't mind the merchandise as much....I just wish more of it was top-quality stuff. I know, it's not cost-effective. Still.......I agree with those who brought up Sammy Hagar and Cabo Wabo. Hoping the rum turns out like that. Don't drink enough tequila to tell whether Margaritaville is good or bad. Landshark.......ehh. I drink it once in a while. It's not...........bad. Just not IMO worth the import price.
I'd like to see:
more short stories
DSTC on DVD, 'cause I love the book and never got to see it. The CD just doesn't work as well for me. I wanna see it.
Weber Margaritaville edition Smokey Joe charcoal grill, much like the Homer Simpson one put out a few years back. Has to be a Weber, though.
Will

Re:
I don't know if Salukulady is still on the board, but I want to do the same thing...build a lifesize cutout of JB for pictures at the Frisco tailgate this year. I have the software to be able to print it out on my computer (in 8.5x11) and then piece it together. What I'm looking for is a good full size picture (head to toe), in high resolution so when I enlarge the picture it's not so grainy. I've looked in google images and have found a few but they don't enlarge very well. Does anyone know where I could get one; or have one to share?Salukulady wrote:I built one out of a poster.
