Atheists X-Mas Card story with a Buffett reference
Listening to the news on the radio the other morning they start a story with some music. I realize its Jimmy singing. It was a story from ABC news radio about Christmas cards for Atheists and Jimmy was signing "...And I don't love Jesus."

I know they cut it at the begining. The song played softly as the story went on but was tough to hear so I am not sure it that part ever got played.FunkHouse9 wrote:Did they cut out "My head hurts, my feet stink"???jimsig wrote:Jimmy was signing "...And I don't love Jesus."

I doubt it... not the first time someone messed up the true meaning of a song to trumpet their own agenda.jimsig wrote:I know they cut it at the begining. On a similar note, I LOVE hearing Born In The USA when it gets used like some anthem about national pride. Makes me think people don't listen to lyrics.

Well I remember the Bulls playing "The Time of Your Life (Good Riddance) by Green Day during a tribute to Scottie Pippen....
(Come to think about it maybe that WASNT a misinterpretation...)
Two other examples come to mind...
Who Let the Dogs Out....
Baba O'Reily (I think Clinton used it as a rally speech )

Just like how Jesus fits the rest of the list of dudes with the 3 stars and the 12 idiots and the silly mother. Come on, you know "Jesus" has nothing to do with Christmas. According to history, which isn't even close to reality, he wasn't even born in December - he was born in May.
So what's the big deal?

Atheism would say there is no God, period.
