[smilie=superkewl.gif] to all y'all!!!

Jack - 27 days!!! That is just awesome..so proud of you! :D And thank you again for the wonderful tea, having a cup of the Rooibos Vanilla as I type. :D

((((((Sal)))))) I'm so sorry for the unpleasant doc experience. :( That was totally uncalled for of him if you ask me. :-? Image Wish you could have had the doctor I saw this morning...very kind and gentle (and handsome!!! dark hair, beautiful blue eyes...*sigh*). Going back for more tests Thursday morning.

I'm still managing to stay off the coffee and have cut out one of my very fav afternoon treats at work - Soy Chai Latte from Seattle's Best and have replaced with a cup of herbal tea at my desk and a quick walk outdoors. :D

*HUGS* to all!!!

so I went back to the gym today, finally. Trainer was understanding and apologetic about the last session. This one went a lot better. Don't plan on being able to use my arms tomorrow, but I feel great.

Shocked at Sally's Dr. House experience! I'm filling out my paperwork to schedule my first colonoscopy. One aunt died of colon cancer, mom had polyps, dad had polyps, so gotta get this done. Congrats, Sally on the weight loss after yours. That's one thing I am looking forward to.

I gained back all four or six pounds I lost the first couple weeks in January and am back to square one. Going to go the gym in the morning and try to turn this thing around! Still hurting with plantar fasciitis in left foot, so haven't walked in weeks. :(

Hi everyone!
We're all doing great!
Awesome job, Jack! You're almost at a month!
Sal, sorry to hear about your doctor experience. Some people just don't get it, and he's one of them.

I made it to the rec today and did awesomely!
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of having pancakes for breakfast. Those did not sit well before a workout, so I had to take it pretty easy. But I made it through some cardio and my weight training class. My instructor and I set up a training plan for Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge, so I'm very optimistic!
I'm doing very well by seriously reducing my Coke/Caffeine intake. I have not given it up completely, but I only have one every two or so days (serious progress compared to about five a day, which is where I was at before)
Next step is junk food... gotta stop it with the sweets, chips and cookies.
I've also lost three pounds in the last few weeks. I know weight loss isn't everything to me, but I could stand to lose about 15 pounds, so I'm happy with my progress

Phinnesota,
I LOVE pancakes, they are my favorite food, but they are usually made with white flour and too much refined sugar and leave me feeling light headed and sick to my stomach. I have made up my own recipe that's made of complex carbohydrates.

Whole wheat pancake mix, (Baker Mills' Kodiak Cakes is a really good brand, made with 100 percent whole wheat and oat flours, honey and NO refined sugar)
add a couple handfuls of rolled oats,
couple of heaping tablespoons of ground flaxseed,
and chopped pecans
Mix with water to batter thickness
Cook 'em up and serve them with real maple syrup and real butter....YUMMY, filling, good for you, and they keep you full.

Baby steps......it will get easier. Luckily our trainer knows we haven't been in structured exercise for about 10 years. She wants us to get the proper techniques down on each piece of fitness equipment before "busting our butts"......... :D

Good advice! :pirate:

Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"

Sally.......I would never go back to this guy. He spoke to you disrespectfully and then drugged you! Request your test results to be sent to another doc and be really blunt when they (he works for somebody)want to know why you will never return. I've worked in health care for 30 years and some doctors are so full of themselves, it's a wonder how they manage to get their heads through doorways.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Yes, my sis is a R.N. and wants me to contact the hospital he works out of with a complaint. I REALLY like his Physicians Assistant, I think I'll request an appointment with her and explain my situation and see what she says. I'm also going to let my doc. who referred me to him know how I was treated.
