I'm such a hopeless romantic!!
I'm reading the lastest Nicholas Sparks! The Lucky One.
It's about a marine returning home after his third tour of duty in Iraq and ends up looking for a girl who is in a picture he found in the dirt. He can't seem to get her out of his mind and feels she brought him great luck when he carried her picture with him.
just finished "The Other" by David Guterson (my neighbor).... along with just finishing "Child of God" by Cormac McCarthy. seriously disturbing, but incredible writing. i loved both and would highly recommend them to anybody (however those who want to read Child Of God should make sure they have a strong stomach
If I had it all to do over again, I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in...

Eatonville, FL is having their annual festival this week honoring her. I have never gone to the festival, nor read any of her books. I think I need to remedy that!!
There's a festival? Wow. If you go, please tell us about it.
I would love to spend a week with others who loved her books.
Thanks for letting me know about it. I might make the trek someday.
I did not go, however they have it every January. www.zoranealehurstonfestival.com is the website for the festival that just ended. The local TV news is always there and do a piece on it. I imagine the website will be updated for next year's festival. If you ever decide to go, let me know. I only live about 30 miles from there...(and then its only 20 miles or so further to Margaritaville at City Walk )

Just now finished LADY KILLER, the new Lisa Scottoline. Mary DiNunzio is back ... and it's about time. I love, love, love this series about lady lawyers in Philadelphia.

Let me know what you think, moog. People I've talked to either love it or hate it ... no middle ground so far.
I'm middle ground so far. My mistake is that I took the book out with a 14 day limit. I've only made it to page 150 of 900 something and the due date is 2/9.

Read "90 Minutes in Heaven" last night at the recommendation of my cousin. Really didn't get much out of it except that the minister who wrote (and lived it) is a devout Christian. Wonder if my cousin is trying to convert me.
