Wow. Bama. Wasn't expecting that. Our kicker "killed" us that game. But you guys won fair and square I guess. :( I went to a Tennessee - Bama game when you all were playing in Birmingham for a while. That was over a decade ago. I've actually never been to Tuscaloosa.

frankbama07 wrote:What about Joe's Crab Shack? good size place with a great atmosphere. Surely they can handle the crowd and band? Big River??? good size and patio. Also the bar right across the Sommet Center is a REALLY good spot the name escapes me right now. They have a awesome balcony where the phlock can hang out outside...it holds big crowds...especially when the Preds play.

Dang no Tall Paul!!!!!!!! Maybe Homemade Wine..new up and coming Trop Rock band. I've seen them in Knoxville and put on a great show. Maybe Jake and The Half Conched band saw them @ Stars last year play a kick a@ss show and got the party kickin. Conch Republic did a great pre-show before Cinci last year. I am just big on promoting the newbies....it's my mission....

Rum Punch Bandits!!! just sayin...............
The bar across the street is. Rippy's. Good barbque and the upstairs patio is a good one. You couldn't get no closer to the venue that that place.

Oh yeah. I've been to Rippy's before. That is a pretty cool place. One of my favorite places is the Big Bang, but it's further down. It's a dueling piano bar, but they play everything from rock to country to rap. Very talented musicians. I would imagine that they know a little Buffett.

I remember the concert in Nashville in 2003, the Nashville Parrothead club (along with the Smoky Mountain and other clubs) had a big gathering at a hotel. There were tents, drink, a band, FUN ! I'm sure they will come up with something good. I can't wait. [smilie=happydance.gif] [smilie=party.gif] [smilie=giggle.gif]

whoa, haven't tried to post in almost 10 yrs on here!? so new name and all i guess... I remember the last show at sommet ctr, what was it, 99? anyway, dtown seemed like one big tailgate from bar to bar up broadway to the show..but nothing like an outdoor show.. literally bought tix at the window after begging the attendant, ended up lower level, just left of stage, best tix id had, as of then anyway. better hit atl for the full experience and then on to nash i guess..?

According to the local news you were able to prepay, but I don't think that option is available yet. Sorry about that Auntie. :(

New to BN but have been visiting the website for a couple of years.

Hope Nashville welcomes four more parrotheads to the concert. We are looking to join some pre-concert celebration.

Welcome aboard! Glad you started posting :D The Music City Parrothead Club (there in Nashville) is working on some social activities, since there won't be "traditional" tailgating. Just keep an eye on this thread. :D

I see we think alike rick. I checked on this earlier today and it isn't cheap and there isn't much availability either. That is also PROM night for a lot of schools. But the bus I found was 200 per hour and it only held 40 people. They wouldn't discount the time for the show since other things are going on. Usually they give a discounted rate during the event but not this time I tried already. Oh and it was for a min of 6hrs.

I liked the idea of renting out a parking lot. I don't know anything about Nashville but if it is a doable thing...count me in. With a 15 year old in tow I don't see a bar as an alternative for me this time.

I also like the idea of a parking lot...but I'll make due with whatever happens. I just want to party with some fellow Parrotheads.
