I want tickets! I've never been to Alpine, I've heard it's a great place to tailgate! My hubby and I went to Margaritaville in Panama City Beach FL for dinner tonight and it made me want to go a concert NOW. I can't wait!! :pirate:

Hey Sunbunny - have you tried the Ticket Exchange thread? Ebay has a ton of tickets available too. Hope to see you at Alpine!
We'll be at Margaritaville Orlando in about 3 weeks. Can't wait!
Phlocker - our laptop needs to be sent in for some work so I won't be on for awhile. Don't think I've joined the ranks of the silent!!! I'll look for the Jello Shot recipes when I get the computer back. I'm going to miss my Buffett News fix!

You'll get best prices on buffettnews ticket exchange or maybe JimmyDreamz. Fans tend to just want to unload extras at cost; eBay is to fleece those in a hurry. I've never seen a year that if you get there early (noon to 1:00) and walk about a bit, you can't pick up as many lawns at face price as you want. Especially effective if you're female and scantily clad or willing to flash. Writing "NEED TICKETS" on your windows work too - you'll be mobbed. Everybody has a friend who can't make it. (Like mine, who one year their daughter got bitten by a dog,) Worst case, buy from the local scalpers outside the gates.

Never too early to plan...
This year I was thinking since I'm pretty much staying around a WalMart (Lake Lawn in Geneva)... I could pick up some food for the tailgate instead of beer (I always seem to have WAY too much of that afterwards because I bring way too much :o). So any suggestions?

Also is everyone planning on meeting in the square again this year? (Around 11:30ish or so?)

Finally, any word on the Hemingways party the night before (there IS going to be one, right? )

OK, I got This recipe off the internet~It's Awesome~So I'm Sharing!!!

6 oz (large Box) Lime Jello
1 package of knox
16 oz boiling water
6 oz Tequila (or a little less water and a little more tequila, you're choice)
2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Rose's lime juice
1 oz cold water

Mix the jello and knox together then add the boiling water and stir til completely dissolved. Add the rest of the cold water. Wait til jello has cooled (10 minutes or so) then add the alcohol and lime juice. Pour into container/containers of your choice. The knox will make them firm enough to cut into shot sized "jiggler" squares so you can use an 8x8 glass brownie dish~ But the plastic shot glasses are nice!

Watch out! They are good, and will hit you hard if your not careful!! ENJOY!

18th ANNUAL JIMMY BUFFETT NIGHT AT THE HARMONY BAR
Saturday, April 17th @ 9:45pm

The Harmony Bar is once again the destination for Parrotheads to dance and sing along with local musician Chuck Bayuk as he plays the songs of Jimmy Buffett. Chuck will be joined by a crew of notable local musicians, the Drunken Sailors.

Harmony Bar
2201 Atwood Avenue
Madison, WI
608-241-1574
Just returned home (earlier than planned for reaons too complex to explain). A good time was had by most (as of midnight anyway). Chuck had us all in full Buffett swing again this year! The singing and dancing (not to mention a boat drink or two) made me really yearn for our upcoming show in June!

Can't wait to see you all Under The Big Top!

Our computer is back! Yay - I missed being here!
The margarita jello shots sound awesome, Phlocker - can't wait to try them. So, party at your place this weekend. Is this the one you've talked about before? I'm spending the weekend doing laundry and packing to get ready to leave for Florida next Wednesday. After putting up with Disney for a couple of days we're stopping at Margaritaville then heading to Anna Maria Island for a week of R&R - and maybe some margarita jello shots! Can't wait to hit the beach bars!
Concert on Radio Margaritaville this Saturday and only 67 more days till Alpine!

A friend and I will be traveling to Chicago, either Fri night the 25th or Sat morning the 26th, heading to Alpine Valley.

Two options:

1) If we come in Fri night, we will be staying downtown in Chicago, Magnificent Mile area. In this option we would like to find a bus group that leaves Saturday to Alpine and returns to Chicago after the show.

2) If we come in Sat morning, the flight arrival time is 10:30 at ORD. If there is a bus that leaves Saturday to Alpine and returns to Chicago after the show, anyone know what time it leaves from Chicago, and what the pick up points are?

Anyone know how long the drive is from Chicago airport to Lake Geneva? I guess this could be a 3rd option for Friday night arrival.

Thanks! Beth
