I am soooo sick of all the derogatory comments about Jimmy

Buffett!!! The man brings much happiness to many thru his music and has for many years. He gives unselfishly of himself to relief efforts like Haiti and the Gulf Coast. He has opinions and a mind of his own. If you do not agree with him that is your right but to constantly bash the man over his set lists, concert prices, where he performs and does not perform, his politics and so on is getting so tiresome. If you feel that all these issues effect your ability to enjoy his performances which he shares with us at no charge year after year, please go to another site or start one say like "I hate Jimmy Buffett" because there are many of us who do not wish to hear you whine in discussion after discussion anymore.

Seriously, to come to what is CLEARLY a fan site and spout off on something negative in your first 5 posts isn't exactly a way to win friends. And if you aren't going to go see him anymore because of his views then why be here in the first place? I suppose certain people think they can turn his fan base against him.. WRONG.

In essence, I agree. The show Buffett is doing in Gulf Shores he is doing out of the goodness of his heart. I prefer to say thank you, and leave it at that.

Yeah but at least once you KNOW the source most of the time we generally agree to disagree in favor of our bigger interest which is the music and having a good time. To come out swinging with your first few posts is just not cool. On top of which to say you aren't going to go see him anymore? Ok great, that's your choice but we don't need to hear about it.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference if you have 5, 500, 5,000 or 50,000 posts. You hit the nail on the head - this is a fan site. If you don't really like the guy...why waste your time here? I don't know...I'm just saying.

I have sold tickets to a few people and met a few Bn'ers. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no one can change that, and you don't have to agree with anyone else. Well I do agree with what you're saying but you know sometimes you've got to understand the 10 stages of a Parrothead and realize that someone is at a stage 8. That being said, if you are at a stage 8 just joining a fan site just don't seem right

Jimmy has said it best many times, it is all his damn fault! But he makes some good music and generates a lot of happiness, when you are walking away from a concert look around, most people are happy and that says more than anything.
