Album's Featured in the Tour?
I don't know how the rest of you feel but the tour is off to a hot start. I really like that he is featuring Volcano this week. Makes me think...is there any chance this could be a theme for the Summer? Maybe feature A-1-A one week...White Sport Coat another...could be an exciting Summer
If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane ...

Re: Album's Featured in the Tour?
According to an Uncle Jim post on Facebook at some point over the past couple of days, that is exactly what will be happening. He didn't give many details at all, but he mentioned that it should/would continue.

That was supposed to be the plan several summers ago, but it never happened. Hope he sticks with it this year.JollyMon66 wrote:I don't know how the rest of you feel but the tour is off to a hot start. I really like that he is featuring Volcano this week. At the Tampa show he said he was featuring the Volcano album and by the end of the week he would play the whole thing.JollyMon66 wrote:I don't know how the rest of you feel but the tour is off to a hot start. Sorry, I was wrong on the location that I heard this quote. The below quote comes from Uncle Jim's blog from the other day, not Facebook. Cheers
We’ve had a lot of fun with the song “Volcano”. Jimmy is featuring many of the songs from that album on these shows and I believe will be featuring other albums as the year goes on. We’ll have to see how the rock rolls.

Apparently Uncle Jim also remembers Jimmy's promise of a couple years ago...NZParrothead58 wrote:Sorry, I was wrong on the location that I heard this quote. The below quote comes from Uncle Jim's blog from the other day, not Facebook. Cheers

Maybe he'll save A-1-A for the Camden week? OK...I'd be happy with 3/4 Time or White Sport Coat too...how greedy am I?

i'd be willing to bet that One Particular Harbor will be next. Considering he has mentioned playing it recently. I for one would love to hear Fruitcakes.

Re: Album's Featured in the Tour?
Personally, I love JB highlighting certain albums at each tour stop. This brings some of the "oldies" back out that we rarely hear live anymore.
But didn't he start this same agenda a few tours back only to have it end rather abruptly, quickly returning to the "normal" tour tunes??????
If so, maybe this year he'll keep on track with the "oldies" for the full tour......

For Houston, as long as JB doesn't feature "Hot Water", "Beach House" or " Lizard".......I will be happy.

Re: Album's Featured in the Tour?
I think the difference between this year and a few years ago is that he doesn't seem to intend to play all or most of the album in one night. By spreading the "lesser known" songs out over a few shows there is less time for the SYKBH crowd to sit down (and less cramming for the CRB). I hope he keeps it up!

Re: Album's Featured in the Tour?
There are only 2 songs left from the Volcano album that haven't been done...Boat Drinks and Dreamsicle...I really thought he would do those Thusday night, but it didn't happen....hope to hear them in W. Palm!
Bring me the hot sauce, bring me a beer. Going to be the last man standing, but where do you go from here?

I just hope that JB doesn't decide to dust off the "Down to Earth" album for Bristow........
I can take "The Captain and the Kid", but that's my limit.......

Hasn't played Dreamsicle, don't know why, it's one of his classics if you ask me. He should focus on the albums pre Riddles in the Sand. God bless the fans that have "Don't Stop the Carnival" album to listen to.

I would have put money on that being an encore, not TCC.
