There is a bus leaving from Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva on Sat. June 25 at 3:00pm. It is a minicoach with a bathroom. Must be 21 or over. Cost is $50 and includes drinks (beer and margaritas, water), but does not include show ticket. Contact Bo for info at bo@harborshoreslg.com.

For those planning on camping at the local campsites in the area, we are working on getting shuttle services to these sites for Friday night. If you are interested, please email us at bubba@hemingwaysportofcall.com. If we can get a large enough group from the sites, we will get things set up. As always, if you plan to come to the bash on Friday, DESIGNATED DRIVERS get in free (includes food, soft drinks, and music). Please be safe!!!!!!!

There is officially 4 of us coming from Idaho!
We were looking at camping, but at $25 perperson per night from what I have seen here, we would rather get a hotel.
Any suggestions on camping, hotel, pre-party and shuttle service from the local/regulars of Alpine? We are 2 Buffett sluts and 2 virgins, so we know the run of a Buffett weekend. Seen him 25 times and always have wanted an Alpine show.
Any help is appreciated and would be reciprocated through fun things....

Hope to see you again! :D I'm a local/regular, but really don't have much for you to go on that hasn't already been posted.

I've never camped, but I've seen a lot of happy campers behind the Two Seasons Bowl. There also used to be a bunch of BNers that happily camped here: http://www.snugharborwi.com/tent_camping.html And supposedly, camping was approved for 2011 on actual Alpine Valley grounds, but I don't know how you go about booking it.

As far as hotels go, I think everything within 20 miles is booked immediately upon the date being rumored, but I haven't been looking, nor do I know if any offer bus packages with them. I think to get a room now, you'll have to luck out by finding someone who is canceling one.

Pre-parties are either Hemingways, or Two Seasons Bowl. Both will feature great music, good people, and are a guaranteed great time.

I haven't been to Steve's (Hemingways) for his Buffett party, but I have been on other occasions, and I know that his customers' happiness is his main concern.
http://www.hemingwaysportofcall.com/Old ... d2011.html

The past two years I've gone to Two Seasons Bowl, and have enjoyed it immensely, ensuring my return again this year. Bruce also keeps himself busy making sure everyone is smiling, and I always enjoy getting to see the Coral Reefers in smaller intimate settings than 'the big show'.
http://two-seasons-bowl.com/Buffett_Bash_2011.html

Both offer bus trips to and from the concert on Saturday as well.

No matter which you choose, I think you'll enjoy your Alpine Valley Jimmy experience!

Alpine seemed to have peaked in 2006. Is it possible we got tired of seeing each other??  Is it possible we're growing up?  NAH! Perhaps there's just more outlets for our Buffett socialization.

Tiki - Thank you for the kind words, really wish you'd come over and give the Hemingways bash a try! I also see a bit of dwindling down on Alpine, more on the posts though, right now looks like we have over 70 BNers confirmed for the Friday night festivities at Hemingways! As always, looking forward to seeing all our old friends and looks like several new ones this year!

Less than 2 months to go!! Come on SUMMER!!!!!

I'm happy to see there are bunches of BNers heading up that weekend - I just miss all the pre-show fun and antics that used to happen 'round these parts. And if like last year, I'll most likely be enjoying Saturday Buffett morning 'Mary's at Hemingways, to the delightful tunes of Todd Donnelly and Ilo Ferreira and band!

And there's a good chance I'll see you Friday night, as in 3 days from now! I just realized Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band are playing, and I should be able to make it. Gonna see if I can round up a few friends!

Steve is in Lake Tahoe doing the Cabo Wabo thing;-), coming back tonight to catch the Beach Bum Band at Hemingways.

As far as the bash at Hemingways, sold out last year and year before, best thing to do is email us and put your party on the BN list to hold the spots, you won't get the pre-sale price but it will hold the spots. Last year we opened up will-call at noon and closed it at 6. Any spots after that time were given to others.

Hope to see you in June!
