BN on Boston2000.com?
So, any ideas what's up with Boston2000.com? It's a copy of the BN site. I'm guessing it could be Jim's test/development version of BN.

Interestingly, both names resolve to the same IP addresses. The whois for boston2000 says the it is registered through godaddy.com to domainsbyproxy.com out of AZ. The name server for both of these domains is from sandboxhosting.com.
All very interesting.
All very interesting.
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on...

Re: BN on Boston2000.com?
I remember noticing this a long time ago and meant to ask. It's got a whole copy of the site on there. The links all actively point to the BN url, likely due to the way the BN links are coded, but if you replace the BN url to read Boston2000, you'll get the comparable content. So, there seems to be a full, but out-of-date (early April) copy of the site over there, aside from the forums. That leads me to think it's for testing, development or backup. If that's the case Jim should probably take some steps to prevent site crawlers from indexing it in Google, etc.

Re: BN on Boston2000.com?
I comb the web with possible combinations of URL's looking for new sites. I had just finished with Boston1997, Boston1998, Boston1999 and was about to quit for the day, when I decided to go for one more.
Actually, I did a google search for something Buffett related and when I clicked the link, it was BN but I knew the search didn't say BN, so I looked and realized what I had found.
