Anywhere on the West Coast would be fine.............Remember, Jimmy? Holiday Inn? Marin County? Four Lonely Days in the Brown LA Haze? Hush Puppies? Glitter Rock 'n Roll? Remember, you wrote Come Monday here? We're missin' ya out here, guy!

Re: What is your MUST SEE venue?
I must be the only one here who is not a fan of GW. I've seen Buffett there 3 times, once at Gillette Stadium and this past Sat at AmericanAirlines Arena and I thought the Gillette show was far better than any of the GW shows!
As for my dream venue(s):
- The waterfront venue in Miami where "Live by the Bay" was filmed. (I actually got to jetski near that venue this past weekend and it looks like it would've been a great place to see a Buffett show!)
- Bora Bora
- Waikiki shell
- Any place in the caribbean!

Re: What is your MUST SEE venue?
I've been lucky enough to have caught him in KW 5 or 6 times, New Orleans, Waikiki, Irvine, Starwood, Opry House, all over FL in different types of settings, Manassas, Gillette, Atlanta, three different Margaritavilles ... so as far as venues I guess mine would be Great Woods for the party.
But my ultimate venue would have to fall to some place like back at the Opry House or another fabulous acoustic music hall and without all the hoopla that comes with the tour.

We know how to throw a good party here in Indianapolis! Its a great outdoor venue and the tailgating is a blast. I have never been to Cincy but I hear it a great show as well. Chicagos tailgating was fun but the stadium had horrible acoustics.
I am gonna live my life like a song.....

Verison in St. Louis. Why is this a must see for me? Because it's the closest place to me that he will play. So when he's there, it is a must see. Sure wish I could afford to go see him in other places more often.

Bumping a very old thread
We, of course, didn't get any shows this year but figured it would be fun to hear y'alls thoughts...
I've been lucky enough to travel from VA to see him as far north as Bangor including pretty much every state in between. The only venue I've been to south of me is The Wharf in OB, AL. Gorgeous area & nice venue but I thought the tailgate was a lil tame.
I hope to add Tampa & Frisco to my southern list...
My ultimate must see is Red Rocks! I would have checked that off this year but corona decided I should wait til 2021 [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]
I would love to see him anywhere in the Carribean but that's probably not realistic. Eh, I can dream right?

I've been to Paris and Dublin so if I go overseas again I'd like to see him in London.
As far as places in the U.S., I'd like to see all 50 states before I die and I have 10 to go. If there's a Buffett concert in one of those 10 I would try to go. Montana, Wyoming or Alaska would be nice.

Re: What is your MUST SEE venue?
This is always a tough question. It largely depends on which part of the country I’m in . . . but if I’m home in Massachusetts my must see venue has to be the Foxy Lady in Providence. Pretty girls, cold beer, and the shots aren’t overpriced.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

That was mine - finally it happened a few years ago. Amazing. Don't need to see him any place else. Stupid covid.tailgaitingph wrote: ↑December 14, 2020 8:26 am Bumping a very old thread

Another few days in a hotel and the extra airfare to get to London from Dublin. I had already spent more than I wanted to, I didn't want to do more damage to my bank account.dnw wrote: ↑December 15, 2020 9:17 amLIPH wrote: ↑December 14, 2020 11:50 am I've been to Paris and Dublin so if I go overseas again I'd like to see him in London.

As we get a Buffett gig here, on average, every 22.5 years I would have to say "anywhere".

Re: What is your MUST SEE venue?
I'd love to see Jimmy perform in some dive bar. That would be cool. With the whole band and all that entails I'd love to see him in some tropical locale. I see that video from Anguilla and that just looks so awesome to me.
But you know I have absolutely no desire to see Jimmy in London or Dublin or whatever. Those places are great but I have no need to see him there. It just doesn't work for me. Of course I'm also of the opinion that staying at a Margaritaville Resort in Pigeon Forge or some other non-tropical setting doesn't make sense. When I travel I like to actually partake of the local scene and what it has to offer, not what is superimposed from somewhere else.

It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.
