Up is down and down is up.........maybe he can play my backyard......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Only a few miles (and days) from Omaha. If there's gonna be a big tailgate party, I may just try to make this one too!!

This is crazy good news. Looks like the tailgate area will be the Vets Aud. parking lot. Every year we go over to the Toyota Park show so now I get to see JB tiwce this year. BTW: the first Buffett show I saw was in 1985(?) at Sec Taylor Stadium in Des Moines!

I'm liking all the new venues. Gives a lot of folks, who are unable to travel long distances, a chance to see him.indyssignguy wrote:Des Moines ?? Really !!! Who is Jimmy's booking manager ? Hope he sobbers up fast !

Let's see; with stops in Omaha and Des Moines, I wonder if he's going to pass up Alpine Valley this year. If he doesn't, this means I could perhaps make two shows, because it's only about 75 miles more from where I live to Des Moines than it is to Alpine.

Re: Des Moines??!?!
Yes it was 1985 Jimmy was doing a AAA baseball tour.
We ended up getting rained out about half way through the show though.
The Valley high cheer leaders were the hula girls ! LOL
I just checked the Ia Cubs schedule hoping for an afternoon game the same day as the concert, but they are out of town on that Tuesday but have
noon games the Tuesday before and the following Tuesday, bet that would have been a Jimmy sighting !
I indeed believe Jimmy will pass Alpine this year, just a feeling I have.
Either way Fins Up Iowa ! and yes Iowa does know how to throw a party !
Just ask anyone that has ever done RAGBRAI LOL
