Hmmmm. Interesting...... I want to see if I can make this happen.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

This came up in my Google Alerts for Jimmy Buffett. Two free tickets. Not sure where to post it. Good luck.

Tailgating at Tinley Park

Post by 1965mrimpala »

I literally got off the phone with a person at the Tinley Park City Hall, and they said that there will be tailgating at the venue..............BUT, the lots will open 3 hours BEFORE the show (show starts at 8!), therefore the tailgating will start at 5:00! That came from the chief of police and the commisioner! To me it's not worth it to get there and barely have enough time to eat and have a coctail before the show, and I definatelly know I won't buy a $9.50 beer for myself let-alone the other 10 people that were going with me! Oh well, guess I'm going to go to Alpine when he comes there.

Chicago Tailgating!

Post by ComeMondayBirdman »

I just saw this on First Midwest Bank Amphitheater's Facebook page..... 8) [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] [smilie=cool_goatee.gif]

First Midwest Bank Amphitheater
For Jimmy Buffett: You WILL be allowed to tailgate. The parking lots will open at 3:30 pm- no sooner. We are only permitting tailgating for this show so it does not change our standard policy. You cannot remain in the lots during the show. We will not be allowing boats/trailer/ or port-o-lets into the lots. Limo fees will be $50 and busses/ large vehicles will be $100 (limo buses will also fall into this category). Any vehicle that isnt a limo and takes up more than one space will be considered an over sized vehicle. All vehicles must leave the lots at the end of the night- there will be no overnight parking allowed.

And when there is traffic overflowing at the gates . . .They will open at 2pm as they always had before.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

based on previous history (unless they learned from Toyota park) there will be about 3 porta johns for the entire lot.

tailgaiting will begin at the Holiday Inn and then move over when the venue opens the lot.

Don't like the "late" opening of the gates? There is a way around this..... There are plenty of bars within a 5 mile radius of the venue. Have one person stay somewhat sober, and let everyone else drink. Bars are usually open by 10am.

The more I think about it, the more I'm liking the idea of being back at Tinley.

Toyota Park was too close to home...going to Tinley will be more of a mini-vacation since we will be staying overnight.

Is there any transportation to/from the Holiday Inn? I know one year the Chicago PHC had some buses but we aren't members any longer...

Help!!
Can someone please give me some information about the ticket prices for Jimmy Buffett at FMBA in Tinley? I see on Ticketmaster and/or Live Nation that there are only 2 prices.
$36+$10.50=$46.50 and $136+$21=$157.
Are these the only 2 prices? I'm guessing the $46.50 are lawn tickets? Will there be more choices for pavilion seats other than $157.
I've been going to FMBA for concerts for years and there always has been multiple ticket prices for pavilion seats. Any information would be a great help!
Thanks in advance!

I had a conversation again today with my contact at FMBA. We spoke directly of
porta-potties! :o
I conveyed the importance of their improving the number & locations of said "potties"...
She assured me that the situation will be handled better this time! [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

$46.50 are lawn, and yes there's a pricing scale up to $157.
