I emailed the Holiday Inn to see what the latest was regarding the tailgate there...

Actually, the event at the Convention Center was cancelled. Since they're opening the gates earlier at First Midwest, the Village of TP has all of its resources allocated.

Is there any plans for meeting up and tailgating like last year?

I'm assuming most everyone will be at the Holiday Inn, even though there is no official party there now?

Does anyone want to do the BBQ like last year? I still have the little charcoal grill I brought last year.

According to the management at he Holiday Inn, they have cancelled it since the venue is opening earlier.

Finding something to do before the gates open is now a priority... Personally I think the gates open around 1:00PM (even though the announced time is 2:30PM)
But that said should we meet somewhere and caravan in?

The holiday inn might be a good place to meet to caravan in from? It's about 2 miles away and would prob be a good place to gauge when the gates are gonna open.

Isn't there a strip mall directly across Harlem from the venue? That is a little closer and might make keeping the group together easier since we wouldn't be with all the rest of the traffic.

There's a bunch of strip malls around there...not sure of any on Harlem near Oak Park avenue...there is Odyssey fun world on oak park avenue right off Harlem.

I got a ticket to see Jake Sunday night in Highland Park. I'm not complaining about it, but I just found out the surviving original BEACH BOYS will be playing in Milwaukee that night.

Some change of plans *MAY* be in order.
