New Buffett Buffet CD

Post by BottleofRum »

According to Margaritaville.com Jimmy is in Key West compiling a list of his classics, fan favorites, studio re-arangements, and best of live versions. The CD will be called: "Buffett Buffet", and the release date will be announced later.

What songs would you like to see included on the new CD?

From what I've heard they plan to start recording/rerecording the tracks in Key West after the winter tour.

songs to see on compilation album

If they're putting in live recordings, the acoustic solo mix of Cowboy In The Jungle/No Woman No Cry that was done in Dallas, TX on February 13, 2001 is a MUST!!

Let's hope this is another box set or a double CD!

Looking forward to it.

Jimmy's new CD

Post by Ann »

Last week, or beginning of this, I forget which, Steve Huntington said on Radio Margaritaville that Jimmy was on his way to Key West to record a follow-up to "Far Side". He said, "The tribe is gathering!"

If he is including live performances, I wish he would include some of the 1974 studio concert that they played on Radio Margaritaville a few weeks ago, the one where the studio host introduced him as "Little Jimmy Buffett". And he should include his stories from that concert. It was amazing how even back then, at the beginning of his career, he was so good at entertaining his audience with his stories as well as his singing. (And I don't know if he was or not, but he sounded half stoned, or coming out of it.)

And he should make it an enhanced CD with video, like the ones he's been putting out lately. He should put video from the beginning of his career (or before!) to now.

New CD

I would love to see It's my job. I know it's more of a ballad, but it is one of my favorites. He actually could not put Margaritaville adn Cheeseburger on the album and that would be fine with me. I know it's almost sacralige to say that but... :-?
