Re: Last Film Watched?
Very well done documentary from PBS' American Masters series about Carson's unprecedented three decade reign as the kind of late night television. For those that may have missed it, you can watch it online here.

Re: Last Film Watched?
Very informative and entertaining documentary on the birth of the whole "grunge" scene in Seattle in the late 80's and early 90's and the repercussions it wrought on those involved. For anyone interested, it's also available on YouTube in it's entirety:

Doesn't quite live up to the legacy but it's still good clean fun in the summer blockbuster escapism sense.

Re: Last Film Watched?
Finally saw this one a couple weeks ago at a friend's house (yeah, I know...I'm way behind). I very rarely sit and watch a whole movie these days, but enjoyed the storyline and it did keep me interested. Didn't hurt that I really do like Justin Timberlake, too.

We watched Underworld Awakening over the weekend. It's just as good as the others. My wife and I really like this series of movies.

Good music in this movie, and sorry to say this but I think Tom Cruise stole the show on this one.

Thoroughly enjoyed Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted 3D a few weekends ago. Fun to listen to the little kids sing-a-long with joy at the ending.

Well worth the admission price. See if you agree with me about Tom Cruise's amazing performance.smiller wrote:That's on my list to see soon.conched wrote:It's Rock Of Agessmiller wrote:What movie CC?

To Kill A Mockingbird
Although I have seen it many times, I was recently reading about Horton Foote and that led me to Netflix and there is a documentary online called Hey Boo: Harper Lee To Kill A Mockingbird. It was a very good documentary, so ended up watching the movie again.
Gotta love those classics and the stories behind them.

After Nora Ephron passed away last week, I also watched You've Got Mail and Julie and Julia with Nora's wonderful commentary. (I love watching those types of movies set in New York City and Paris.)

OH YES, INDEEDY!!!
Always looking to score points with my favorite niece, I offered to take her on Sunday. Needless to say I felt just a wee bit odd sitting there! The movie actually wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting I even discovered that I like a couple of Katy Perry's songs - Yikes!

Re: Last Film Watched?
Very entertaining and a nice alternative to the summer blockbusters. I enjoy those every now and again (and have seen my fair share so far this summer) but Moonrise Kingdom is a refreshing change of pace.
