Who's going to Cincy July 21??

The show is sneaking up on me this year. We'll be coming from the Louisville area with a smaller group than usual. Last year we had 20. This year it's looking more like 8. Construction on the fin for the bed of the truck will commence on July 13th. Fins up!!!

Has anyone in the Riverbend area been by the place lately? Have they started any more construction on the hotel that's going in down there?

WHAT, I can't believe Citcat won't be there

We are in, still no RV but I have finally been able to order the tailgate trailer. It is supposed to be done by CINCY, YAAAAA. We WILL be doing a shrimp boil, also burgers, brats and chips. Everyone is welcome. I just need a good idea of how many want to eat. Just reply to this post and I will add name and number coming to my first post on PAGE 1. The food usually runs about $12.00 each.

We will also be bringing the A/C for the outside, to help deal with the heat

The bar will be set up and all the usual games. Can't wait to see everyone.

Been a couple of years since I've been back to Cincinnati. So from what I'm reading, the large grassy lot directly across the street from the Racetrack(marked 5 on the map on Page 1) is no longer in play because of hotel construction? Or is that inaccurate? That's where we set up shop back in 2012 around noon-ish. This will be show #60 for me so it needs to be a memorable tailgate.

I've been trying to find that out myself. That's always where we set up too. Last I heard it was gravel now but they haven't started construction yet.

Decided to knock this one off my buffett bucket list this year so I'm driving in solo. Scooped up a room at the best western down the road and have no question that I can make friends at the show.

Been reading the threads about newbie tips--thanks to everyone. Would also love to meet up with new people so shoot me a line.

Any other tips to make the most of my Fincinnati trip?

Was already at Indy and Chicago this year and going to Alpine and Vegas later. Why not add Cincy to the list?!

We usually set up in the Lot numbered 2 in citcat's post. If anybody wants to join our tailgate/shrimpboil let me know and I will add you to the list on page one. You will not have any problem finding us, I can give you my cell if needed. Also we are staying at the Fairfield Eastgate and can possibly meet some where if anyone wants to park with us. We will have around 6 ez-ups set up anyway (and the swamp cooler/ A/C)

I think I may head down Sunday and do a little recon mission to see what the area looks like now. Plus my Cedar Point pass will let me spend the day at Kings Island. Heh.

What time are people planning on showing up in the morning? 9-10?
