Ladies and Gents I have some news for you. Back in early October, Chevrolet had a contest to name the new 2015 Spring Edition Camaro. After thousands of suggestions, I was thinking how I could tie my love for Camaro, Jimmy Buffett, and the new Emerald Green Color. Well, I came up with Green Flash. And guess what? It won. Green Flash is the name of the new Spring Edition Camaro.

No I don't get a car. Although I may trade my 12 Camaro Vert in for one. I mean, how many people have named a car? Well one, me. It is really cool. I have a few dealerships I may do promo work for on it and maybe I can work out a deal to get one cheaper. Jimmy should be happy. He has a car that was named after the inspiration of his song gave me.

Looking at the comments on the website (where the name was announced) proves to me that there's a helluvalot of people who never read anything but comic books or watch anything but NASCAR races. Mention "Jimmy Buffett" to these people and they'd probably think it was a typo for an all-you-can-eat place called "Jimmy's Buffet".
And I'm announcing right here and now that I claim all rights to this use of the name should Bubba the entrepreneur decide to dip his toes into the water of this particular branch of the restaurant industry.

Thanks guys. My wife said I could get one. Although I have to sell my 2012 Vert first with my Jolymon plate. I guess I will find out come spring time. Now to figure out what plate to have. My wife came up with NAMEDIT, GRNFLSH, or I came up with FLASHME

Would definitely go with NAMED IT (or NAMD IT if the first choice wasn't available) if it were me. Just don't forget to separate the two words — I think MN will let you do that.
And if not, move across the border to Hudson or Prescott. Wisconsin allows you one space in a six or seven-digit plate.

The wife gave me the Green Light to get the car I named. If I get one I will feel a little remorse giving up my JOLYMON plate I have had for 15 years. I may just transfer it to my sons car. I am thinking NAMD IT or just GRNFLSH since that is also a Jimmy Song.
