Re: Photo Op!!
An uncooperative Bald Eagle, it wouldn't fly close enough for me to get a really good shot.
Snowy Egret with a snack
Belted Kingfisher with a fish in it's mouth. While I was standing there, it beat the fish against the sign 3 or 4 times.
Turtles getting it on, I didn't see any tongue.

OMG Johnson!!! I had a few minutes to come back to BN and check out your pictures. I've missed them. The kids have grown up so much, still so freakin cute, and your pics did not disappoint. Love your photography & now your barbecueing skills too!! Great work as usual. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Photo Op!!
Thank you, yeah they have. I tell my sister and brother in law how everyone here comments on watching the grow up and they get a real kick out of it. I really haven't seen them much since Christmas, I have nothing else to shoot right now.mommar wrote:

2 degrees out right now. When these pics were taken, it was in the 90s. Still a month to go of hockey season but looking forward to Spring and Summer.
Is it day?

Re: Photo Op!!
There's a place called the Hollywood Wax Museum in town and somehow I've managed never to go there. This is the front of the building.
A couple of miles away, there's this.
They have several baseball diamonds that are designed like famous old major league ballparks.
The Polo Grounds had a really long center field, so this one does too. Right field is 250 feet, left field is 276 feet (I think, I didn't take a picture of the sign) and center field is 395 feet.
The Cincinnati Reds used to play in Crosley Field. It's a little hard to see but there's a slight hill in front of the outfield fence, just like in the original Crosley Field.

Re: Photo Op!!
The forecast for today was 90% chance of rain. The weather guesser guessed wrong.
In the summer, this is a picnic area just off the parking lot. It rained a lot last week and again yesterday.
I think this is a river otter.
I know this is a feather.
