I was at a party in Mukwonago, Wisconsin this past weekend where two people mentioned they had golfed at Alpine Valley and they saw lots of construction at the stage area of the music amphitheater. So that is promising looking ahead to next year.

Very promising. Saw Jimmy at Wrigley a few weeks back but it just wasn't the same without tailgating. Fins crossed for a return to Alpine next year!

Live Nation seems to be listing season passes for 2018 on their website.

I took a drive out there last weekend to see if any of these rumors are true.

Everything is fenced off, so I couldn't see much. But it definitely is a construction site. Main enterance sign is still up, along with all the light fixtures in the parking lot.

Milwaukee Journal story today confirms with Live Nation that Alpine Valley will be open for business this year and hosting concerts. Wahoo...just need a date now:-)
Mentions they expect Buffett, Dave Matthews, and Zac Brown to be touring this summer.

Let's just hope Buffett doesn't enjoy selling out Wrigley too much.

He did mention at one of the Escape to Margaritaville shows that they will be back to Wrigley...
