It isn't exactly around the corner but this is drivable. I'll have to think about it.

It's a little past your 'half way' point.
Not the earliest tailgate but we always have fun! Last year we started the party on a side/dead end street just prior to the venue. Got there about 1230 & saw people set up as if they had been there for hours.

Pretty good chance I'll come, but I'm not definite yet. Taking the girls to the Baltimore show, so I need to think about it a little before I commit. Since we've been getting pre-summer shows the past couple times, I wasn't expecting him to use Baltimore to get Bristow back into the summer swing when I got those tickets.

You got in at 12:30 last year? If that's the case I may have to reconsider my self-imposed boycott. Or did you mean the dead end street?
It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.

Looks like we're going to try to make it up to Bristow this year. We've never been there before, so we aren't sure what to expect. So...

- Are the seats all covered?

- What's the parking like (cost, surface, other)?

- Anyone familiar with the Hampton Inn? Looks like the closest hotel.

- Any chance of a pre-sale? I'm scheduled for a minor surgery the morning tickets go on sale to the public.

- Are the seats all covered? No, pavilion is covered and lawn is not.

- What's the parking like (cost, surface, other)? As of last year, the parking is included in ticket price & the lot is gravel. There is a fairly small grassy area near the entry gates with trees that some set up camp in. One crappy, but important to note, policy is they DO NOT allow canopies however umbrellas are fine.

- Anyone familiar with the Hampton Inn? Looks like the closest hotel. I have not stayed there but it is the closest. We would have stayed there this year but the prices jumped up since the show was announced. I did read some reviews that commented about how loud the train was that goes by that area.

- Any chance of a pre-sale? I'm scheduled for a minor surgery the morning tickets go on sale to the public.
Nope. There has never been a presale for this venue that I know of.

Hope to see y'all there!

I've been to 4 or 5 Buffett shows at this venue before but it's been a few years. I know there's a spot in Manassas with a bunch of hotels, where do most people stay?

I believe the last time we stayed there it was at the Hampton Inn Gainesville. It's about 2 miles from venue. Lots of restaurants/stores in that area.

Yes, Hampton Inn is the closest. It's behind the Lowes where we usually meet up to caravan in. They jacked the prices up after the show was announced
The next closest is Candlewood Suites Manassas which is 3.9 miles.

I'm in. Won tickets on the radio Monday, so that made the decision easy. First two-show year since the Merriweather days.

Not this time. Mike Jones, the lunchtime DJ. Somewhat won them by accident but the story is too long to type out.
