Jimmy Buffett Get out the vote event West Palm
We were able to score front row spots for jimmy’s mini show Saturday in West Palm. He was accompanied by Peter Mayer, and Eric Darken. He performs Changes in latitudes, Growing Older but not Up, Come Monday, Margaritaville, Florida’s, Volcano, and One Love.
Show was amazing!

I am always amazed how ignorant people are. The truth is if you didn’t know that and are shocked by it then you are not a real fan and don’t really understand what the Parrothead culture is all about. The trolls crack me up but at the same time scare me lol

JB never takes his politics to a show, at least as far as I know and I haven't heard otherwise. That's the main thing. I remember when the bathroom deal went down in North Carolina in 2016. Springsteen cancelled his show which was coming up quickly. Ticked off many a fan, not because of his politics, but because he caused a big mess for devoted fans who scheduled vacation time and paid for hotels to see the show. Now that's the kind of thing that will push fans away. But Jimmy played on without hesitation in Raleigh and Charlotte without his political alliance affecting his shows or his fans.
The truth is if people don't support left wing entertainers by not supporting music and movies they might as well throw away the radio because it won't get much use. Country singers may be the exception. There are some actors whose movies I avoid and I don't care for Springsteen anymore because of the NC thing.

Toby Keith is a Republican supporter. But , it doesn't stop me from listening to his music. As long as he doesn't get political during his shows. What was strange was seeing him , and Buffett on the same Stage for The Hurricane Benefit. It goes to show , Music brings people together.palmettopirate wrote: November 8, 2018 12:12 pm JB never takes his politics to a show, at least as far as I know and I haven't heard otherwise. Well they probably respect each other and understand that people have different views and points of view. That is okay. As long as people handle everything without ignorance or irrationality then there shouldn't be a problem. The problem is when people think that their way is the only way and the best. Most of the GOP trolls on the internet are scary and so rigid in their views and ways even when presented with facts or truth. I just can't imagine how some people live in that "reality" - it really is one of the main problems of our society IMO.TommyBahama wrote: November 9, 2018 7:56 amToby Keith is a Republican supporter. What I respect so much about Jimmy is that he keeps politics out of his regular shows. Now, I know he and I are polar opposites politically, but he really telegraphs himself well if he is doing a political fundraiser show.
Good on him!
I like Jimmy and love his music because it provides an escape from every day reality, including politics.
Shame on other musicians that cannot see that they have a diverse fan base that don’t come to shows to hear their politics.
Jimmy does it right.

Please explain. What does being a fan and parrothead culture have to do with politics?FinsUp6835 wrote: November 5, 2018 4:10 pmWait. Jimmy and Willie Nelson swing left?
