Dallas, not Frisco 2019

So I know someone will say it is WAAAAAAAAAY too early to start talking about Jimmy coming to Frisco this coming year.
But what the heck - I need my Jimmy-fix after having no tailgating and concert in Frisco in 2018.
I'm still packed from last year, so what do think - will he or won't he in 2019?

It's never to early!!! They finally finished the National Soccer Hall of Fame at the stadium. All the construction materials took up a good deal of the parking all of last year. Hopefully, he will be back this year.

So have you got any ideas on when Jimmy might return - maybe Memorial Weekend like in past years?
I'm rolling the dice and going ahead and booking rooms for that weekend and the the weekend before and after Memorial Weekend.
And who might the opening act be? I'd be happy with Jerry Jeff Walker again.

Well, it's sad day (at least a little sad), Buffett is not coming to Frisco. He is going to play at the Dos Equis Pavilion, in Dallas. Not even close to Frisco tailgating. I have been to several concerts at the dos equis pavilion, sound is poor (in my opinion) and site lines can be a bit tricky if you are seated on the lawn. At least he is coming to our area...that's something.

Well what a revolting development this has turned out to be. The Pavilion is not a good venue in any way, shape or form. It is a JB show but I would suggest saving your money on this one and go to another show.

disappointing indeed; was hoping to go to Frisco for the 3-day tailgate but don't think I'll spend the money on a plane ticket for the venue in Dallas, and will attend more local JB shows instead

Is this the same place that used to be, I think, the Smirnoff Center? I haven't been to a Buffett show in Texas since 2015 and if that's the place, I won't be going this year either.

Don't count on Jerry Jeff. If you don't know, he is fighting throat cancer for the second time.

With the announcement of the area show being in Dallas and at Dos Equis, I am wondering if any of you resourceful and insightful folks might have any of the facts behind why the Dallas venue is being used over the Frisco venue. Just wanting to understand the facts behind what would drive a business decision like this when it would seem the Frisco location is much more attractive to the fan base.
City of Frisco not interested/declined?
Toyota Stadium (FC Dallas) too expensive?

We always hist a bg tailgate party at Frisco by the side entry and host 50-60 people.'Can we do that at Starplex.
Befoe I buy tickets I need to know.

But Buffett takes priority over pain.

The article I read - https://www.guidelive.com/music/2019/01 ... gating-rvs - said that tailgating and RVs would be allowed but that details were not available. Even still, it won't be what it was in Frisco.

On the scheduling, Toyota Stadium is hosting CONCACAF matches beginning on June 20 and may not want to mess with the grass field so close to those matches. JMWAG Or the venue became too expensive. Or a combination of both.

I traded texts with the folks in Frisco, and trust me, they wanted him there. They were a bit snarky and said that I would have to talk to Live Nation to figure out why he went to Dallas. I would assume the dates just did not work out. As far as hosting 50-60 people...that depends. Last time you needed a ticket to get in the parking lot, so that stopped a lot of folks coming just for the tailgate party (not necessarily a bad thing).
