Sunny SATURDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. We have a nice day here. The cat got us up at dawn. We head for breakfast, then shopping and lunch out. Enjoy your day, pholks.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Sunny SATURDAY@ the MSC
Good morning.
Last night was my first Bob Seger concert (and since this is his farewell tour, my last) and it was a great show. Twice during the show he said since it was his last tour he decided to do some songs he hadn't done in a while. The first one was the only song he did that I didn't know and he said he hadn't played it live in 26 years. The second one was You'll Acompany Me (I know that's spelled wrong, he spells "accompany" funny in the title), which is one of my favorite Seger songs, and he said he hadn't played that in about 30 years. He also did some of my other favorite songs - Main Street, Night Moves, Turn The Page and Hollywood Nights. I left the Coliseum happy.
The opening act was a country singer named Sunny Sweeney. That name sounds familiar to me, I think she was at The Big State Festival in Texas back in 2007. Since I'm an anal retentive freak and I keep track of the performers I've seen in concert, I'll have to check my computer when I get home.
Checkout time is 11:00. I'm trying to decide if I should stay local and have an early lunch or just go home.

Morning BNers
We missed the rain yesterday but it is suppose to start storming about noon. I had planned to run some errands but not sure now.
Getting tired of rain but we are going to miss it in the summer.

Houston's weather was on the front page of our morning paper 'Houston braces for more "Hellacious Rain' ".... Stay dry MsMolly!
The last time I saw Bob Seger was in '76 or '77.... Sounds like about the same set list! (Why does he always play the same songs?)(Nevermind….)

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Was suppose to start raining about 12:30 but nothing yet. Made it to Walmart with the bazillion Daddies and kiddos shopping for Moms. I guess I forgot about them. So crowded but I got what I needed.

Re: Sunny SATURDAY@ the MSC
That and “Ship of Fools” are my two favorite Bob Seger songs. Both make me think of a different person who was once part of my life. “Ship of Fools” makes me think of Captain Paul Butcher, my Commanding Officer of the Cruiser I served aboard in the U.S. Navy (U.S.S. Oklahoma City), and “You’ll Accompany Me” makes me think of, well, someone else.LIPH wrote: The second one was You'll Acompany Me
Seger did “Ship of Fools” at the concert in Moline, IL last year when I was there. So sad that he’s hanging it up.

I was wrong, I've never seen her before but I do have 5 of her songs on my iPod.LIPH wrote: ↑May 11, 2019 10:07 am The opening act was a country singer named Sunny Sweeney. And the Bob Seger song is "You Accomp'ny Me". I knew the spelling was odd.

Well, I made it through the hell week that is Mother's Day. (And prom) I am having a Margarita and looking forward to some time in the hot tub. Safe travels to those driving, hoping the rain stops for those having flooding issues. And HAPPY Mother's Day to all the mother's out there.

Afternoon, BN. Survived the two days at work since vacation. Barely, though. Trying to find the cleaning motivation at the moment. Maybe a nap will help.

It was supposed to sprinkle today. I worked a few hours today and came home to sunshine.
I’m currently enjoying a very nice steak with sautéed onions and garlic.

I don't think I've ever had a coconut flavored beer, but I've had so many over the years I can't be sure.
