Decided to mosey back "home" to check in for Pine Knob activities for July 16th. Can't believe we are two weeks out for the concert.

Quiet day here--hot and under a heat advisory. A friend is having a pool party this afternoon and I am kinda not interested in going although I would love to see her and her family.

Might just make it a day of running indoor errands and maybe go see a movie.

Good morning. The heavy rain we were supposed to have yesterday didn't get here until about 10:30 last night and from the looks of things outside it must have rained most of the night. It kept the rednecks from shooting off fireworks until 2am.

The law firm I worked for represented a tobacco company but Kool wasn't technically one of our brands. Our client was a British company and Kool was manufactured by what at the time was their American subsidiary, who we didn't represent.

It started raining again and it's been thundering for about an hour. I just got a weather alert about a "strong thunderstorm" near Georgetown (about 25 miles from here) moving to the northeast (my direction) at 20 mph. Torrential rain and frequent lightning expected until at least 2:00. No lightning yet and the rain isn't that heavy, maybe I'll luck out.

On the rare occasions that I have pancakes, I like maple syrup. I also like bacon. I don't like them together. The maple bacon beer I had a couple of years ago is one of the worst beers I've ever had, although it was much better than the eggnog IPA and the coconut flavored lager.

With all the rain we've had today the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. It's a good thing I don't have much hair left though, the humidity is ridiculously high. When I had my mad scientist hair, this would be a really bad hair day.

This just goes to show that the Bavarians had it right with their Bier Laws - "Reinheitsgebot".

Beer can only have four ingredients: Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water. Actually, yeast wasn't originally included as it hadn't yet been discovered.

If you have to add other flavours, then first up you aren't making beer and secondly you must not be very good at brewing...

Good late night folks. It was very hot and humid here today. I got to hang out at a friends pool again. Will go back Saturday and Sunday if we don’t have storms (which
are predicted every hour for the next several days). It seems the guessers just keep moving the storm start time as the day goes along.
