Back to work today, still hacking quite a bit and think I pulled a muscle in my back from coughing. Happy Hump Day and Never Forget!

Just so long as nobody does something like this again —
I'm ashamed to admit that this was in my home state of Wisconsin. The course, located in Verona (just outside of Madison) literally got its head handed to it for such a tacky, tasteless promotion. Full story here — https://www.businessinsider.com/tumbled ... ats-2013-9.
The course itself no longer exists; they closed permanently in the fall of 2018, although I think it was due more to the value of the land it sat on as a housing development rather than any long-term fallout from this faux pas.

I'll always remember exactly where I was when it happened.

Morning all. Being not far from NY City. We are constantly reminded of the day. Not a day goes by we don't think about 9/11. On this day in 2001 , I was driving to a job site in Hartford , I had my Radio on WFAN out of NY as I did most morning. They mentioned a plan hitting the 1st tower , thinking it was a small plane. When I got back in the car , they mentioned a big plane. Still thinking how it was sad , I wasn't thinking terrorism. I went to another job site where we were unloading a Trailer truck. The driver happened to have a TV in the cab. So we turned it on to see what was going on , that's when the 2nd plane hit. Then realizing this was more serious then a freak accident. A bit later there was the Pentagon and The crash in PA. Needless to say , not much work got done as we were glued to the TV wondering what the F happened. At the time I didn't know of any casualties of this tragic event. Many years later I met people , who have lost family members , or spouses , people that have responded , to this tragic and sad event. Some i still see at the Country Club I work at. ( we aren't far from NYC , and it's a get away place , for a lot, who live, and work in the city).

Morning, BN. I have a friend at work whose sister worked for a company that was directly hit at the WTC. The sister went to funerals for three straight months. She was late for work which is how she survived.
