It's Still Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC

Post by bodypainter »

Good morning BN. It's a sunny day with a cold start of 48 degrees. We have no plans, so I may do outside chores. I did spray 3 stars to paint as raffle prizes, so I may get artisticlater and start painting beach scenes.
Enjoy your day, pholks.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and CJ!

It's already in the mid 70's today, and heading to the 90's.

A visit with Mom today (having a Grandparents Day brunch, postponed from last Sunday). Then some chores, a haircut, out to dinner.

Hope it's a good Sunday!! :D

Good morning. There's supposed to be a chance of rain today but it looks pretty nice out now. Maybe I'll go for a leisurely stroll in the park.

As much as I dislike shopping on the weekend since I retired, I might have to stop at the supermarket later. I'm leaving for Dublin Wednesday morning but I don't have enough milk for my corn flakes for the next 3 days, I should probably pick up a quart.

Hey folks!

We’re off to see Tropical Soul (Dennis mccaughy) at the pop up beer garden event. Dennis is a former neighbor who still lives close by. He plays several weeks a year at the Hogs Breath in Key West and at MOTM.

And the weather is gorgeous here!

Pretty lazy day here. 2 of the daughters came out to visit for our 41st Anniversary. Bryan made breakfast and now has Stroganoff simmering for dinner. I did some laundry and have done a lot of nothing else.
Have a great Sunday!

Afternoon BNers

Another hot day so you can find me watching drag racing, Astros and checking on the Texans.
What happened to me????
I never watched ball sports. Guess a World Series will do that.

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers (they were the Buies Creek Astros the last 2 years) are in the same league as the Pelicans. They made it to the championship round of the playoffs but lost 3 games to 2 to the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City Royals). They were up 2 games to 1 but lost the last 2 games, both by 2-0. That rookie the Astros have this year who's hitting all those home runs, I can't remember his name right now, played for Buies Creek for about 1/2 a season. He didn't belong in the Carolina League, he was too good.

When I was walking in the park I saw a woman up ahead of me pushing a double stroller. She was moving kind of slow so I caught up, went around and passed her. She didn't have 2 babies in the stroller, she had 2 dogs.

Alvarez. Tucker played for Buies Creek too and he killed the Pelicans. I was glad when he got promoted to Double A so I didn't have to see him play anymore.

Another player the Astros had down here was Myles Straw. He wasn't as good as the other two but that guy could run. He might have been the fastest player on the team.

Yup. Straw kills it on the bases. He has been used for pinch running.
Looks like Tucker might make the playoff team.

Loookie you using baseball terms. :D

We had a good day. Brunch with Mom at her Memory Care facility, and the food was good. She didn't like everything, but she tried it all with encouragement. Then some puzzles. Old Dick Van Dyke shows on my phone, and she remembered a lot of it. Chores at home, a good haircut, and out to dinner. It's not the BEST, but it was tasty, and we'd been there before. :D

Lol
πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›
I used to really enjoy baseball back in the Jose Cruz and Nolan Ryan days.
But something got in the way....work, having Ryan? Not sure.
But enjoying the games again. Haven't missed many games in the last 3 years, either watched or kept track of the score on my phone.
Even Larry laughs about how passionate I am again. πŸ’™βšΎοΈπŸ§‘
