Stormy Memorial Day Monday @ MSC

Post by springparrot »

Morning BNers

It was storming when I went to bed and SURPRISE! it is still stormy this morning. So much rumbly thunder...deep deep rumbling thunder.
I don't think it is raining but enough noise to wake me up.

I hope everyone else has a nice Memorial day. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Good Morning Everyone!

We're heading to our daughter & son-in-laws for a light lunch. Then, we got nothin'.

Kevin heads to work tomorrow. His 2nd full day since March 19 (he also put in 2 2-hr shifts). He should find out tomorrow what his schedule will be since we are FINALLY heading to phase Yellow on June 4.

Memorial Day, take a moment today and remember those who paid the ultimate price, I'll bet we all know or know of someone who did.

Good Memorial Day morning, everyone. :)

Day off, and couldn't sleep. Weird dreams (I have them all the time).

The rains have stopped (it rained most of yesterday, and it was great/needed)! Felt right with the golfers in the rain yesterday. So glad Tiger and Peyton won! It was fun!

Some chores, some relaxing, some cooking.

Saw that Western Australia had some nasty storms yesterday - hope Rabz is okay.

On our way to Lowe's to look at dishwashers. Then a quick grocery stop. After that, nothing major on our list of things to do today.
Thank you to all who have served this great nation. We appreciate your sacrifice. Have a great Memorial Day. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

And I'm back. Storm finally moved out but another round is on the way. Guess we need the moisture.

Hoping everyone's day is bright and beautiful. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€

Hot and not stormy, I'm thinking a beer by the pool might be a good idea.

Bought a new Maytag dishwasher on clearance, got a great deal. The only thing is it's stainless steel and my kitchen appliances are black, so I'll have to deal.
Came home and Bryan cut the driest part of the yard while I made a fruit saladπŸπŸŽπŸ“πŸ‰ to go with the burgers and dogsπŸŒπŸ” and corn on the cob later🌽. It's sunny and muggy here. Turned on the AC for the first time this year. Enjoying an adult beverage now 😁🍹πŸ₯ƒ

All ok here. Luckily for us Western Australia is the other side of the country - almost a 6 hour flight. For scale, it's about the same distance as Miami to LA.

We'll get a soaking from it in the next few days no doubt, the cyclonic winds should have lessened by then :)

The drawback of buying the clearance dishwasher is it was in a box and none of that model was on display. So I'm sitting here reading the reviews and looking at the specs. (The salesperson pulled up pics on his computer, but it was a quick peek) Bryan checked to see where it was made and it's likely that it was at least partially made right here in Ohio, which is a plus!
I had extra fresh pineapple and watermelon, so I have chunks in the freezer on a sheet tray which will be a nice fruity/icy addition to my margaritas this summer!
The dishwasher remains in Bryan's vehicle until such time that he is ready to tackle the installation...so for the time being we have a very expensive non functional Fisher Paykal double dish drawer drying rack for my hand washed dishes. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
