I think it's like a New England IPA but it's a pale ale instead of an IPA

So as I alluded to a couple of days ago there is some upheaval going on at work. At this time yesterday I was pretty much out of a job.

In my role I do work for a whole bunch of divisions around the company (and around the globe) so I got on the blower to a few of the manager types I have done work that saved their bacon a few times.

12 hours from being given the news that I would need to be redeployed or got rid of, I now have the choice of three roles. Two of these roles are in different states but for the time being I can simply work remotely. Moving is on the cards and Mrs Rabz is already looking at real estate sites but pandemic wise it might not be so easy...

What's the third role?

They're all technical author and technical illustration work but the third role is based here in Sydney.

(while I was typing that I got a call about two other roles in Sydney - for different companies.)

What a roller coaster.

Congrats on the choice of jobs. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches. You might no want to move but you have to do what helps your career.

Good job Big John!

Sorry for your trouble melon! There are idiots everywhere but happy you stood your ground!!

My day in the water could have been better, but it could have been worse too. Off loaded the ski & parked the truck but then the ski wouldn't start. I'm guessing/hoping it was a battery thing. So loaded the ski back up & hopped on my friends pontoon. We had really good weather, great food & then stopped by a brewery on the lake.
Back home & have the battery on charge. Hopefully it will be good to go tomorrow as we have another trip to the lake planned!

Nicholas seemed like a nice young man when I met him at the tailgate. Like he has good parents & a good head on his shoulders! Good job

Multiple job prospects is a good problem to have. Now that you have options both near and far is the preference to stay around Sydney?
