No chance of Wet or Wild here in the Mitten. Sunshine & mid 70's today. Consider ourselves lucky here I guess.
Took care of a couple Dr's Orders tests this morn. CT scan keeping an eye on a lung nodule from 2 years back. Also a retina scan due to my diabetes.
Both at the same place so ULTRA convenient!

I found out what the police activity was near CCU yesterday, somebody called in a bomb threat at a convenience store near the campus. Why would anyone want to bomb a convenience store?

The latest tropical storm is Larry. Our local weather guy seems to think it will stay out over the Atlantic and will pose no threat to the U.S. Larry, what a guy.

I'm supposed to go to the Pelicans game tonight and it's raining. Game time is still 3 1/2 hours away and it isn't raining hard, but it's raining. If the game gets rained out I'm going to turn in my rain check for a ticket to Saturday night's game, they're having a tap takeover at the Pelicans Perch with Highland Brewing from Asheville, NC.

Interesting day that started with a fixed chipped tooth. My dentist, a former student billed me at a 50% discount.
I towed into the rain that has soaked the east and hit a detour 2 miles from the boat ramp. Detoring was three milesup and down a big hill on curvy roads. The river was too muddy. I went home.

We ran into a delightful woman who married a local character that built a sailboat and sailed the world. He met her in Thailand where she was a sail maker. She had 2 beautiful daughters from an abusive marriage and they had a third together. They have been happily married for over twenty years, which is more like ten years because he's gone so much. He's often sailing somewhere on the planet and she likes to be home. Right now, he is in Figi where he had to leave the boat when Covid hit.

Just talked to Larry. He made it to Indy and is at track.
Someone tried to run him off the road yesterday. He ended up on the shoulder. Car is ok, but the jarring didn't do his back any good.
A hot shower helped and the Advil. ❤
