Morning BN'ers...


Sitting in the airport at my favorite perch, watching the people flow by. Airport is busy, lots of people. Watching this, and noticing that nobody is wearing a mask anymore, packed tightly together, etc......the news is on the TV with no mention of COVID. Leads me to ask, is the pandemic over?

Holy Moly -- where is everyone ???? Recuperating from the weekend???

In our area there are still a few doctor offices that require masks but everywhere else there are no mask mandates.

We do still see people driving alone in their vehicles wearing masks.....wondering if they believe germs can come in through the dashboard vents

People are acting like the pandemic over... I doubt that the risk of catching COVID will ever go away, and I continue to wear a mask when I'm out in crowds. I have too many of the risk factors that make me susceptible, and I choose to be careful.
We flew down to San Francisco/San Jose last week and I doubt that 10% of the people were wearing masks, even though the state is still reporting nearly 3,000 new cases per day and 20 people are dying from it every day.

Good afternoon.

I'm at the Red Cross, I just finished donating platelets and I'm having my free cookies and juice. The Red Cross doesn't require masks anymore but of the 5 other donors who were here one of them was wearing a mask. None of the employees are masked up.

Good Morning!

Every other Monday is "Payroll Close" day. Takes me several hours to process 100+ people's time cards I got to work at 6:30 am and I'm just now finishing at almost 10:30. It doesn't help we don't have our top two positions open, so my former boss and the 4th in line, has to sign off on the cards when I'm done approving them. The 4th in line has minimal experience, and my former boss is in Seattle.

The hospital that I work for, and the medical building we are housed in (another company), still require masks. I NEVER go into patient rooms, tho. There are several hospital chains here that at discontinuing the mask mandates. Covid will never go away. Wear a mask if you feel you should, or don't if you don't.

Had a good weekend with friends/family. Still can't believe Cameron is 40.

Astros are playing another preseason game. This game is with the Marlins.

Ryan still wears a mask when he shops. Our Dr office still requires them and that is ok.

Connie and Don both have covid again. Don is in the hospital.

I am heading on a work trip tomorrow and will definitely be masking in the airports and metro. I’m all vaxxed and boosted but who knows what anyone has anymore and I can’t take any chances.

We just got 8 because that's what each of us is allowed EVERY MONTH for free through our insurance company. The 20+ we had stashed since the test kits became available have all expired.

What's the procedure?

Mohs micrographic surgery
(moze MY-kroh-GRA-fik SER-juh-ree)
A procedure used to treat certain types of skin cancer, penile cancer, and soft tissue sarcoma of the skin. During Mohs micrographic surgery, one layer of tissue at the site of a visible cancer is removed at a time and checked under a microscope for the presence of cancer. This process is repeated until all cancerous tissue has been removed. This type of surgery removes as little normal tissue as possible. It is often used to remove skin cancer on the face, fingers, or genitals, including cancer on or just under the skin of the penis. It may also be used to remove some sarcomas of the skin. Also called Mohs surgery.
